Bought a second-hand battery from TBS with a 6-month warranty. Just 2.5 weeks later the battery died and needed charging. I had it tested by a trusted mate because I wanted to rule out my alternator. The test showed the battery was only cranking at about half of what it should be β confirming the battery, not the car, was the issue. When I explained this to the owner, he immediately dismissed it, told me I shouldnβt have taken the battery elsewhere for testing, and said I βcanβt listen to them.β He then plugged in his own device, briefly showed 100%, unplugged it straight away, and gave no explanation of what that meant. He completely brushed me off and refused to honour the warranty. If he truly believed the battery was fine, he could have easily swapped it for another second-hand battery and put this one back on the shelf β simple peace of mind for a long-time customer. Instead, I was written off entirely. Iβve used TBS for years, but I wonβt be back. My family (6+ people) who have also supported this business for years will no longer be using them either. The owner was rude, barely spoke, and even walked away from me while I was explaining the issue, acting like Iβd done something wrong. Very disappointing experience and poor customer service.

Stop shopping round for replacement batteries & tyres these guys have a good range at very affordable prices! Especially the reconditioned batteries & good used tyres! I recently got my mechanic to fit a used tyre so I could pass my WOF but I ended up with barely warratable tyre the sqeels when I round a corner expensive for the price I paid, where as if I had gone straight to TBS in tuam st I would have got a really good used tyre for the same price!! They won't rip you off! It's a no brainer... you be the judge, go check em out!

Brought a set of wheels plus tyres. Spent about 6-12 hours prepping sanding and painting the set of wheels, later put them on the car for the tyre to go flat dew to not being fitted properly. It was poor work took the wheel back was given a βdiscountedβ price to get a new tyre fitted. Did all that just to find out the new wheels I had brought from this shop were buckled. I was offered no help about this and was rudely turned away when I came to the shop and questioned the quality of the work and the wheels I were sold. Not a good experience

I brought in a full set of wheels (already mounted with tires) and asked them to swap these onto my car. I was told the cost would be $30, and nothing further was explained. Based on that, I reasonably assumed it was $30 for the whole job. At a previous garage, I had the same service done β swapping a full set of wheels β and was only charged $40, so this seemed fair. However, after they finished β which involved nothing more than removing the old wheels and fitting the ones I brought β they presented me with a $120 bill. There was no extra work involved β no tire fitting, no wheel balancing, no repairs β just a basic wheel swap using their own equipment. When I questioned the unexpected price, they changed it to $60 after some back-and-forth. Although I appreciated the price adjustment, the experience felt unclear and stressful. Pricing should be communicated transparently from the start to avoid confusion. I wouldnβt feel confident recommending this place to others.

I just fitted a Hilux battery that I received on warranty from TBS, and I have to say, the manager, Annie, after some initial skeptism about the batteries origin, presumably because of the staff member out back who eyeballed me as if I was about to pick his pocket. Anyhow, they gave me another battery to suit my old Hilux. I found the manager friendly, fair, and helpful. I have bought 5 batteries now from TBS and would recommend them again, but take a photo of your new battery with the receipt on top before you leave. As a frequent reviewer who has a following I would have got them some bad press, but everything came good. The important thing is they made it right on the warranty and sorted it out, so a big thank you from me to the TBS managers. Its the putting right that counts!

I like the way they messed up. they basically made me a favour swapping my punctured tyre to the wrong size one. So I was able to show it to specialists 'cuz the repair was questionable. And they transferred the money on my account when I brought the tyre back. Basically they have taken off the tyre for free to give me the chance to try to repair it.

Needed 3 tyres, went to the shop to get a quote and the guy asked me "how many do you need?" I told him 3 and he said "three pack $65". We were ok with the price and once they finished he told me it is $65 per tyre. So bad as you have to clarify BEFORE fitting them. BE CAREFUL.
