   I was introduced to Emm and NZHL Canterbury Metro by work colleagues 4 years ago. I was still working and past Retirement age so becoming mortgage free as quickly as possible was my number one goal. Emm worked with me to create a plan taking in to account my personal circumstances. With her advice, guidance and support I recently became mortgage free.    I've been with NZHL for almost 20 years and had several changes of life circumstance during that time. Through all this, I've felt supported to be in the best financial situation possible. I've felt really in control of my finances and have learnt how best to manage money even in situations where I didnt have much! Having annual reviews with Emm felt like catching up with an old friend. She is always encouraging and motivating and realistic about what I could do financially at each stage of my life!

   Communication wasn’t the best , it took 8 days for us to get an answer for finance when they said it would only take 3 days max , we got an approval from a 2 nd tear bank and it was a ridiculous interest rate . I wouldn’t recommend, I did go to a broker and in 4 hours on the same day he had us with an approval from two banks and we got a very good interest rate so it pays to go with a broker

   We were introduced to NZHL through a friend and we can say switching our mortgage over has been one of the best financial decisions we have made. It also made us realise how poorly we were treated by our previous bank.    I went to NZHL Canterbury after going through a different homeloan broker who wasn't responsive and took so long to help that we had to apply for an extension on our offer. NZHL took over and within a week had everything all sorted. They were proffesional, kept in touch so we knew what we needed to do and how the process was coming along, and provided excellent advice. Both my husband and i felt very supported through the process and the outcome with our mortgage is miles better than what was offered through other avenues and people. I highly recommend NZHL Canterbury to anyone looking for a home loan.

   We have been part of NZHL almost since their creation when we were introduced to their concept by Rose Acton-Adams who we worked with in a previous life. We personally have built 2 homes through NZHL, Metro team on Lincoln Rd and are so glad to have them in our lives. Our 30yr home loan was cut back to 14 years. How is that even possible? Emm's guidance, structure and advice has been paramount to our success with our home loan and we cant thank her and Terry enough.
