A well appointed sports arena close to the Hamilton CBD. Very convenient with lots of nearby roadside and dedicated parking. There is seating for 25,000 spectators, with additional corporate and conference facilities . Under the Brian Perry stand there are a good number of food and merchandise outlets. The grounds are well lit for night fixtures.
A wonderful experience at my first Rugby Game watching Gallagher Chiefs, and Western Aust. Fantastic atmosphere, really friendly atmosphere and staff were lovely. Lots of free items handed out - beanies, chair cushions, flags, tshirts, footballs for the Chief's team. Great variety of food/drink stalls at good prices. It was a Star wars theme light show for May the 4th (force). Was a great fun night. Loved it.
I took my grandsons to watch the Costa Rica vs. Zambia Fifa World Cup football game. 31st July 2023. It was an awesome game, the food was expensive, I suggest eating at home and taking a drink bottle. Security and customer service staff were awesome, facilities were awesome, and it was a very enjoyable game.
My first visit to this stadium. Great experience. As with all big events, parking is an issue, so arrive early. Great atmosphere, good seating and good weather on the night albeit, cold.
Five group matches will head to Hamilton's Waikato stadium during the FIFA Women's World Cup Australia & New Zealand 2023, kicking off with the Group C battle between Zambia and 2011 champions Japan. Fellow former winners Norway are in action on 25 July when they take on Group A rivals Switzerland, before Portugal and Vietnam do battle two days later in Group E. Zambia will return to the venue for the pool's final matchday to face Costa Rica, while Argentina-Sweden of Group G rounds off the stadium's hosting duties on 2 August.
Great rugby stadium with awesome atmosphere. Good facilities and close to town. Good range of seats for all prices and family zones. Parking can be a bit tricky for big games so arrive early!
Great stadium. We parked 2 streets away but easy as walk to get there. Easy to get into the grounds amd up into the stadium area for seats toilets and food/drinks. Seats were ok and good lighting. I loved my first visit to the home of the waikato chiefs. Will be back
