    STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY!! They are happy to take your premiums but the minute you want to submit a claim they FIND a reason to decline the claim stating "pre existing", even though it wasn't. Claim was submitted on 14 May and I am yet to get any official response on it. The only reason I found out that they had declined my claim was because I was told it was being referred back to underwriting, and I was only told this after I had called numerous times. Been with them for 3 years and never claimed. If I could give them no stars I would.

    We have been a customer with our policy for over 25 years now. We were previously with Sovereign and now AIA. I have experienced the absolute worst customer service from AIA in the last 6 months. Have definitely noticed a huge decline in their service when I call them in recent months. They don’t care anymore, and their call centre staff have no compassion. And management are even worse. They do not deal with complaints and have treated me and my family so unfairly. I would change companies tomorrow if I could, but we have pre exisiting conditions now, and boy do they know it. Most definitely do not recommend AIA. And please don’t reply with your generic reply to email a complaint through to AIA. I have complained twice now to AIA, and been told twice someone will get back to me. And still nothing. Trust me, this is a very last resort Edit : note AIA replied saying be in contact direct with me. Well I’m still waiting a week later

    Terrible company. The My AIA doesn't work, the broker I have been in contact with amending our policy has messed up the whole thing and instead of AIA contacting us, they took a huge amount of money out of our account. Would not recommend! The communication is not good and processing times are very slow to get anything sorted

    This insurance company is the worst! When i got my quote for policy it just only take 2 working days for the quote for the Result. Now i am making claim for my income protection i have applied for the clain last December 2023 and up until now they have been avoiding the responsibility and changing claim manager. Three claim manager has been assign to me and now everytime i call them they keep saying that it is on the underwriting team and they are still reviewing it. It has been 3 montns since i filed for the claim. I'm paying $200 a month for this company and now I'm making a claim it takes 3 months! This absolutely the worst! You should imagine what we have been dealing with our injury and now we are making claim ot takes 3 months. This is the worst!

    Very Bad Experience + Edit My wife and I were with AIA having transferred from Colonial and then Sovereign. I wanted to check on the policies but they couldn't find them, but they found their way into our accounts each month. The "advisors" weren't a lot better and were getting a trailing commission for a business they had purchased and had given us no advise. End result we cancelled our policies, when I was really wanting to modify or review them. Poor processes and it was only when I gave notice that they realized that we were serious. Still cancelled the policies the cost was going up unchecked and we were concerned that they couldn't find our policies, and didn't seem to care. Because they are the largest doesn't make them the best. Unfortunately in this age, you may not like an insurance company but you may end up with them through acquisition. Edit: we have resolved the issue we have the best way we knew how. The issues stem from your staff not considering acquisition customers clients of yours, and also when I mentioned that we neither used nor wanted the advisers listed they still received all the correspondence. If you couldn't stop that, at least tell me. We should have been on your best product, and you as our supplier should have been more proactive, instead you rely on an antiquated system of " Financial Adviser" who clip the ticket every year irrespective of whether they do anything or not.

    DO NOT USE THIS INSURANCE COMPANY!!!! Absolutely appalling service! It’s been 12 weeks since we made a claim. Everyone there is evading responsibility and they’re at the point now where they’re trying to say our policy is for something completely different. They’re also now saying they have no records of phone calls. $40 per week for years, for absolutely nothing!!

    Was with them for many years and when I needed help they didn't want to know about it and of course found a way out. I asked if I could upgrade my insurance since I had been with them for many years and get covered and they are happy to upgrade but now they know about the issue they wont cover it as its now counted as pre exisiting. Very poor customer service, they take ages to get back to you about anything and when they do get back to you they will say things in the most complicated way so you have no idea what they mean so they can find an excuse to not pay out and not help when you do claim. Disappointed and waste of money for all these years. I recommend you just put that money aside that you would pay them and just pay for things yourself when they come up.

    Great Company I have had all my clients claims approved and recently a claim through for myself. Highly recommend the Accidental Injury cover I broke my thumb on Sunday and was paid by Thursday.

    Absolutely appalling service! We are Sovereign customers but now AIA. Would give them zero stars if we could. Absolutely no help, even the complaints team have no idea or comprehension. Have been loyal customers for 20 years. Do no recommend to anyone unfortunately.
