In general, it provides well rounded legal assistance , parking, several slot of time and different specialities of lawyer depending on one's requirements. Volunteers (usually law students from university will be the first point of contact and he/she will take the questions to a solicitor and return with recommendations/advice from the senior lawyering team at the other side of office. Reception staffs at the evening are helpful and knowledgeable while the other full time admin/reception seems to be much more exhausted and hence more uptight.

12.11.25 To the person with no name who emails and texts using admin email. Your customer service is nil and very poor. Told a lawyer tried to call me twice when I had a phone appointment book several weeks ago yet no missed calls on my phone and I had my phone on me all day. Rebooked, told to ask prior who the lawyer would be in case of conflict and this rude person ignores yet their own email tells me to do this. Told I would speak to a training person called Brian which is not what I was told would happen and waited weeks on. People need to know who they are speaking to and any conflicts yet this place refuse to say. This is a complaint about the service, person on text and emails and the extremely poor rude service. Please pick up your game and get a better attitude and treat people better

To be honest this place is not even worthy of a 1 star rating. I have been here twice recently and received zero legal advice. The website states legal advice but the legal expert out the back behind closed a doors only accessible via a go between volunteer case worker can only provide a couple of referrals to Law Offices that will charge plenty for legal advice. If you want real legal advice you may have to dig deep into your pockets and visit a real deal Law Practice . Don’t bother wasting your time here. They may have been useful when they started out but are now a waste of space. If they are not providing legal advice why are they in existence?

I was declined help because of apparent conflict of interest. There is no solution when this happens other then examples of what conflict of interest means is given as an explanation for refusal. Also referrals for lawyers were suggested as an option however the obvious cost was the reason for approaching community law because I have a serious health issues and reliant on the sickness benefit till retirement age in two more years.

Extremely disappointed to say the least. Reception staff very rude. Invasive questions so they can get funding and then no concrete advice given. Given two phone numbers and rung them and the lawyers were full and couldn't advise either. Round and round like mickey mouse club and then when I wanted more answered the reception wee short foreign lady with a crop top and her belly showing out started talking down to me infront of others in the waiting room like I was thick. Please get rid of these dizzy people on the desk. They are a let down to people who require professional help. Don't come here. They just wanna collate data and not help you. Also the booking as was wrong as well. I believe they want things to escalate to court level as they don't help you navigate anything. It's all $$$

Very lucky to have this place. Free advice on law that I would not have been able to aford otherwise. Great friendly, caring staff that treat you with dignity and understanding. An appointment is given over the phone. There is a wait time and form to complete. I spoke to a training lawyer I believe, (I could be wrong) and they go away and speak to a qualified lawyer. I was then given answers to the questions asked, as well as contact names and numbers for further help. Thank you very much for your valuable advice, it is really appreciated.

Unprofessional staff with poor understanding of the laws. They don't have coherent strategy for assisting the vulnerable. Same as inaction police. Both of them has complicated procedures, but the outcome is so terrible. Their logic is upside down, so funny!

I went there because I'm disabled and had no way to pay a lawyer. I got some assistant that basically regurgitated exactly what I told her after waiting an hour and a half, then said I can call one of the three lawyers that cost approximately $3000 to submit one paper to the court in order to get a temp work license. Honestly a huge waste of time and very disappointing.
