   We had a disappointing experience at our recent appointment with our baby. We waited 40 minutes past our scheduled time before being called in. After 23 minutes of waiting, we had to ask the receptionist if we would be called soon — only then was an explanation given. There was no apology for the delay. What was especially frustrating was that patients who arrived after us were seen and left before we were even called. When attending an appointment with a baby, you expect some consideration for time. My husband used his lunch break to attend, assuming the appointment would run on schedule, but due to the delay he ended up needing to file a sick day. It was also disappointing given the clinic displays reminders for patients to arrive on time and charges for late cancellations, yet there appeared to be no regard for patients’ time. Our previous appointment was a breeze and the doctor was lovely, which made this experience even more disappointing. Unfortunately, the lack of communication and care from the receptionist and nurse this time left us feeling dismissed. Better communication and a simple apology would have made a big difference.

   I've been lucky enough to be a patient to Straven Medical for many years & to have 3 Doctors over these years I'm comfortable with & confident in. Dr Sarah & Dr Hannah have gone above and beyond any expectation to help me through a very difficult chapter of my life & I'll be forever greatful for them. The Nurses & Reception team are also fabulous! ☆☆☆☆☆

   Wonderful doctor and nurse at Straven Medical. They both were attentive and kind. However prior to the appointment, I had two weeks where the receptionist continued to ask about my Visa and citizenship even though I had a New Zealand passport which I had emailed twice. Although I was born overseas, I have lived here my entire life and only held NZ passports and an NZ citizenship. It is a subtler form racism but it still an uncomfortable experience to be put through.

   The doctors here are all incredible. Catherine smart is absolutely amazing. The team are so beautiful they always check everything and do what ever it takes to get you back to full health. My children are always so well taken care of and Denise and Murray always go the extra mile. The nurses and reception team are kind and always fit us in. They will make sure no stone is left unturned. The kind of doctors you want in your corner. Thank you to you all for being so beautiful.
