My experience with dealing with ferrymead auto over the years has always been a good one. However upon my last visit it has left me in no doubt that I shall NEVER return. This is due to the fact that I was threatened by an employee to the point I feel i need to make everyone aware. In my opinion this is absolutely appalling to the point I think a dismissal should be considered.

My partner brought her car here for collision repairs. They offered us one of their lime-green loaner cars, which we didnβt really need because we also have my car, but we accepted since they said there was no extra cost. We parked the loaner in front of our house and didnβt drive it once the entire week. When we returned it, they claimed there was damage underneath and said it looked like it had been 'off-roaded.' Because of this, we were charged an additional $500 deductible for the loaner on top of the $500 deductible for our own repair. I spoke with the owner, explained that we never used the loaner, and after a lot of back and forth he said that even if we didnβt cause the damage, it was still our responsibility for not inspecting the car when we picked it up. In other words, if the damage was already there, it was still on us. We ended up paying $1,000 totalβhalf of it for damage to a car we never even drove. Their 'free' loaner ended up costing $500. Customers beware!

Seriously it's not the high $323 for an inner cv boot replacement for my Prado, it's the fact that the cowboy mechanic wiped hand fulls of excess grease all over the chassis. Why such bad practice? All you do is lose a customer.

My partner uses this place all the time and they do a good job only problems is its very expensive iv only had a car for 2 years and when I needed wof I bought my car to you very happy with the work and I guess the price was OK then my knew car needed a knew oil filter so i took it in and the quote was $240 I thought maybe I could get this done cheaper went and checked out 2 other places the first one said they could do it knowing it was a nissan skyline for 150 to 170 wow I thought that was a big difference then someone told me to go to this other place on ferry rd and they only charged $120 that's half the price Ferrymead quoted and this is with a full oil change aswell what's that about won't be going to Ferrymead again

Incredibly fast service.i recently had a car accident and I cannot recommend Ferrymead Automotive enough! The team is so lovely to deal with communication was amazing along with no hidden surprises. Absolutely lovely kind natured caring Team. Fast turn around on repairs along with outstanding workmanship ship you cannot even tell its seamless!! The car is very sentimental to me so to have this level of care meant the world to me.Ferrymead Automotive clearly are passionate about what they offer as they took the absolute stress of a car crash away.I will never go anywhere else & cannot wait to recommend them. Thank you Mike and your staff keep the fantastic work up!! I wish there was more than 5 stars to give you all.

We take both our cars here for wofs and the yearly service since moving to the area 2 years ago. Recently needed a few things done on one, they had a loan car for us and did everything needed super quickly. Fair pricing, great communication and great staff. Highly recommend

Paid for a wheel alignment after buying a brand new set of tyres - no comment. Then failed a WOF 1 wk later on play in rear suspension arm. How can you align the wheels if they move 3mm when jacked? Invoice says "...to inspect the top and lower ball joints. Checked for movement in the tie rod ends..." I have since failed a WOF at a different mechanic on ball joints, and had a comment from another mechanic on the tie rod ends, and looking at them myself they are borderline falling apart - dangerous, and the front wheel can move when jacked up. So wondering what the invoice was for...? Re: not alot can happen in 6 mo when the car has been sitting on the driveway and transported to the mechanics via trailer.
