   My grandchildren attended Tauranga Swim School, and their progress was truly remarkable in the time they were there. Andrea, the owner, is incredibly passionate about swimming and about teaching her instructors to give children the right techniques, confidence, and ability to keep improving. I also attended as an adult and had one of the best experiences of my life. The team is supportive, professional, and genuinely cares about helping every swimmer reach their potential. I can’t recommend Tauranga Swim School highly enough!

   I am 66 years old and wanted to work on my technique for freestyle. Andrea was amazing. She had me bilateral breathing in half an hour!! I've always been a swimmer and I was sceptical that Id be able to do this, now it feels natural. She also got my kicking into shape. If she can teach an old duck like me I can only highly recommend Tauranga Swim School

   My two girls, 4 and 7 were very unsure about swimming, but knowing it is an important skill to learn, we enrolled in private lessons. Both being autistic, there were some differences in their needs and Andrea and the team have been wonderful in adjusting communication and approach. Once we realised the 'typical' lesson structure wasn't suited to them, Andrea created a bespoke lesson plan and we have seen so much growth in their confidence and ability. It used to be hard work getting them to go near a pool, now they love to get in the water as they feel safe, confident and proud of their achievements. We are so grateful for the care and support of the team - totally recommend for any children, but especially those with extra support needs.

   We couldn’t be happier with our experience at Tauranga Swim School! When we first started, Charlie wasn’t confident in the water and didn’t even like getting splashed. Now, thanks to the incredible support from teachers Andrea and Tessa, she’s thriving in the pool — confident, smiling, and genuinely enjoying her lessons. We began with sessions that included the adults, which made it easier for her to feel secure. Andrea and Tessa are so patient, warm, and always teach with a smile. They truly create a welcoming and trusting environment that makes learning to swim so much fun. Highly recommend!

   My son went from being frightened of the water to confidently floating on his back and diving under water over the course of a school holiday intensibe and term 1 with several 1:1 lessons with Andrea. Andrea is a dedicated and passionate swim coach, she accomodated zefs learning needs, as he doesn't operate well in groups and has helped him build immense water confidence. So proud of him and so thankful to Andrea and her team for helping. Would definitely (10/10) recommend Andrea and tauranga swim school to friends and family

   Excellent swim school with an experienced, knowledgable, passionate instructor, Andrea. My swimming has improved immensely over the past year. Andrea has also introduced underwater headsets where she can communicate to us when we are swimming. This has been very beneficial as she can correct strokes etc on the spot. Highly recommended.    My five year old son was too afraid to put his head under water when I first emailed Andrea. I let her know that he was terrified of water and would not even let me wash his hair properly without it being a drama. I took him and within the first few minutes of his first lesson he was diving for rings! Very impressed with how far he has come. Within three swim terms he is now diving into the 4m part of the pool with confidence and completely trusts their support. I can't recommend them higher. Thank you for everything you have taught Cael. Only leaving because we are moving away from Tauranga.

   At first I was a bit apprehensive taking swimming lessons as I was worried what people would think of an adult who can’t swim. Andrea put all of those fears at rest. Since having personal swimming lessons with Andrea I have gained so much confidence in the swimming pool and have developed my swimming technique. Andrea is an excellent swimming instructor and I would highly recommend her and her team no matter your age or swimming ability.
