The name The Hornsby Learning Hub, named after Headmaster Hornsby, masks a sad history. Under his leadership, pupils were beaten for poor academic performance. Should an unsuspecting student score a C- in any subject, he was placed on daily reports. Should there be a C- on his daily report, he would line up in Williams House in his shorty pyjamas outside the House Tutor's room awaiting two strikes of the cane. His name was Mr Brown. These sad homeless lads, who did not speak Latin where they came from, were beaten not for misbehaviour but because they were, at worst, dumbfounded by the all Latin, Caesar in Britain they were expected to translate. The pupils were scarred for life. So says one of them.

Most of teachers here are very care about the students and always willing to help. My daughter loves this school so much, she is happy to join as many activities in the school as she can. Very satisfied with the school atmosphere.

very positive atmosphere, teachers are respectful and create respectful students. we attending their fundraising gala last year and it was amazing to see such a vibrant and supportive group of helpers that went out of their way to make the gala a success. They also donate items to the lower decile schools in the community (like lunch boxes and drink bottles etc) and students regularly support neighboring primary schools by visiting and helping with reading and positive leadership

This school is awful! My son had been there since year 9 and graduated last year. He'd been to the Tihoi camp which pretty much all the activities are available to do in daily life which means there's no point attending this program. And the school forces people to attend chapel services many times a week and will give students physical punishment if the students doesn't attend to the service. Also the teacher often not turning up to classes but the tutor relive the class and pretty much leave the students playing on their phones the whole time. I would like to remind all the parents to consider all these before singing the contract. Don't ruin your child's 5 years life.
