    I was tentatively excited about this trip as it wasn't my first choice for excursions, but I compromised with my partner, who is a huge fan of LOTR to go on this trip. I ended up having a fantastic time and enjoyed the overall experience so much more than I expected. Our driver, Saskia, was delightful and chatty providing us with interesting background on the country as we drove the few hours to and from Hobbiton. Our Hobbiton tour itself was absolutely delightful and the meat pies at the Green Dragon are a must try!
