These guys are AMAZING!! The staff are super helpful and lovely to talk too even on a busy day they still take the time with me if I have questions.

Very helpful staff always have what I am looking for. Much better than the big box places that are taking over. I enjoy getting the help when I am looking for something, especially if you need breathable dressings etc. The staff so helpful.

Seems by these reviews there is a common theme, there is one particular staff member who is rude and has no customer service skills and is honestly just terrible to deal with, has a terrible attitude and is a bit snarky. Would recommend any other pharmacy in Hamilton than this one, you’d think with the amount of negative reviews they have due to this staff member something would have changed. Will be going elsewhere from now on, such a shame as this is the closest pharmacy to my home. If I could give a 0/5 I most definitely would.

My script was emailed through at 9.00 a.m. I arrived at 9.15 and was told there was a half hour wait. For a tube of ointment. OK - they were short staffed. At 45 minutes I was asked if I wanted to buy Revlon products - I said 'no thanks, I'm waiting for a script'. Do you think the woman said 'I'll go and check up on that for you'? Nope. At 10.20 a.m. I asked someone else 'could you please check on my script, I've been waiting over an hour'. And it was sitting there. 'Oh', she said, 'sorry, I don't know how that happened.' I think the pharmacists were busy, but the shop staff were just completely lacking in initiative, and seemed disinterested in providing good service. To call the service indifferent would be generous. We all have jobs and better things to do in our day than sit/pace around in a pharmacy for an hour. Do not recommend. Wish I had read reviews before going there.

Sat there for an hour waiting for a single inhaler that had been sitting ready with my child who was half destroying the store at this stage loudly saying his name telling him to stop . They had the fax 24 hours ago I understand they were busy but I fail to see how the person who realised I had an inhaler for a child that was not ready and a child running around the store and me saying there name loudly would all correlate to them working out to give me the thing . Or the fact she had said 30 minutes and an hour had gone by and at some stage basic customer service would be to give me any feed back or acknowledgement instead of the trying to ignore the rush . Over all should could be done better we have so much technology that could fix this but it seems half the people who got texts showed up to scripts not ready even. Also sounds like you have a huge back log shut the store and go home ??? Rather then putting together the majority of it for the next day Why are orders from yesterday not even put together 24 hours later when new non faxed ones etc are coming in at a rush hour

Honestly there is always drama there, avoid at all cost. It’s definitely not like it use to be, staff there need to learn what customer service , compassion and empathy is let alone when people are extremely sick.

I wouldn’t recommend using for passport photo’s especially for toddlers. They use a small room (like a closet) that made my son anxious. They also didn’t offer a stool to limit him being able to move about and they used a Sony cybershot like camera that produced a photo of terrible quality. They did offer to be able to show the receipt for a free re-take if the photo was declined but I didn’t use this because I just couldn’t trust that their little camera would be able to take a sufficient photo in conjunction with the room set up not aiding a toddler to stay still enough. I got the new photo done at Life Pharmacy in Chartwell which was accepted on the first attempt.

I needed a prescription filled but since our medical centre was closed for the holidays I could not get it. I told the assistant at unichem I couldn't get a repeat because of the Xmas break, She said no problem as I am a regular customer and gave it on the condition that soon as the medical centre opens I get them to fax it to them. 10/10 for a great team of workers.

Phoned on Tuesday to order blister packs. Told they would be ready Friday after explaining I would be away on the date they were due to be issued. I waited in a queue stretching to the door, only to be told the blister packs had not been done. I had to explain again what I had told the man on the phone. Staff member was rude and dismissive, with the pharmacist, who had been serving at the counter moments earlier, suddenly being "snowed under" and "too busy." She may want to consider where she postitions herself before she has a laugh at a customer's expense. I have had ongoing issues when calling for prescriptions. Excuses have varied, but the common one appears to be a constant turnover of staff. Four days notice was more than enough time to prepare my prescription, and there was no excuse for the rudeness. I see from reading other reviews that my experiences are not unique. I suggest that Green Cross Health, who own the Unichem brand, have a good look at this pharmacy.

There is always a problem with prescriptions and wait times are insane. Cant find prescription that was sent yesterday. Had to print it. Half hour wait? No thanks. Come back the next day. One person serving. More waiting. Take so long to find the package. Ah, it's in the area for big bags. Looks like there are 3 places to look, all organized by letter. Much digging through boxes. Honestly, I'll be going somewhere that charges and can get an easy pickup done in less than half an hour. Shame, because the people are great. They need a system. It's not hard.
