   This particular shop has everything your local bottle shop should have - and more! Not only were the shelves exceedingly well stocked and orderly, but the ambiance of the overall premises was surprisingly warm and mellow. The staff were professional yet relaxed. The range of stock in these shelves was unmatched compared to any other shop I have been to - and that is not just exclusive to alcohol. The amount of chips and salted nuts was a welcome change to the usual dry beef jerky and shot boxes crowding the front counter. The tiki bar that opens for the community to come into the store for a tasting of rare drink is a pleasant touch and added a spicy touch of mystique. My favourite part of this whole experience was stumbling, quite literally, into the bargain bin. I pulled both groins in this process but was suitably reinvigorated by what I saw. A sizeable blue plastic container of about 300 litres cubed, this was filled to about the three quarters point with a tasty collection of miscellaneous odds and ends of damaged goods… beers, spirits, ciders - the lot! I could have reached in and chosen two randoms cans and the guarantee would be two excellent drops - which unsurprisingly was the end result. On my way to the counter my eye was again caught by excellent set up of the liquor shelves. Like a moth in the height of a particularly heated mating season, I was drawn to said shelves, salivating like a rabid dog at the sight of a rib eye steak sitting unattended on a chefs counter top cooling before being served to a VIP patron. My lust overtook me and I plucked a bottle of fireball of the second to bottom shelf, guided helpfully there by the nearby store hand. The cashier was exceedingly friendly and had a wealth of knowledge on spirits which I took full advantage of, gaining top tips I cannot wait to divulge at an upcoming pub quiz. Will be back here again this afternoon!

   This Papamoa Liquor Store, Has everything you need and more, A well-stocked chiller, a temple of booze, Buy anywhere else, you only lose, Say hi to the staff, they’ll give you a smile, I haven’t felt this good, in quite a while So when you’re next thirsty, in the Bay of Plenty Buy your box here, or better yet buy twenty.

   What can I say except Damian and his team are fantastic!!! Definitely my go to place for all my Whiskey from now on thats for sure. Damian was happy to share his time and knowledge and find "a wee dram" that was perfect for me. Considering the time of day nothing was too much trouble, thanks so much Damian and as the saying goes "I'll be back".
