We used HomePlus Tauranga in our current home and 2 previous. We had fly screens, security screens and safety locks installed. Great advice, service and installation. Everyone that we spoke to was accommodating, easy to talk to and did a great job. Thanks guys. Linda R

I give a lot of reviews as I think it important for those searching for the same service or item and consequently donβt often give 5* reviews however, after dealing with HomePlus Tauranga for the first time itβs difficult to pick a fault. We wanted a security screen fitted on the back of our conservatory and had the rep (Howard) call in to view and advise, this was followed by what we thought was a reasonable quotation and clear communication from Stacy in the office. Once the fitting date was set, the engineer (Anton) turned up on time and was helpful with clear explanation of installation, his work and tidiness was excellent and very helpfulβ¦. just brilliant and totally recommend their work! We have just had a Glaslide sliding door system installed to help reduce the wind affecting our ability to enjoy our outdoor living area. Dave, Corbyn and team did a fantastic job and were very easy to deal with. Great communication and great installation. Highly recommended and would definitely use their products and services again.

Super helpful up until we made the purchase of the two screen doors. The man who came over to our house to fit it was lovely and really informative however we ordered on the 18 October we were told that it should be 5 weeks from our deposit being paid. Have asked multiple times for an eta no answer. Have had no responses from my emails since Nov 2. I have responded to the email thread not starting a new email and nothing. The assumption was that Trina wasnβt receiving my emails however as Iβm responding to an email thread that seems to be a little perplexingβ¦ the woman I just spoke to on the phone said sheβd look in to it and call me back back I find it confusing how sheβll also be able to do this with out taking my name or contact details. Canβt vouch for the quality of the product as we still havenβt received it with zero installation date or communication in sight. Beyond disappointing.

It's always a bit unfortunate when the staff have to defend the business but this franchisee operation is a good example of that. Staff apologies to customers when the front office muddle things. Franchises are often not indicative of the franchisors business but perhaps the two are linked. Fundamental to any successful business is good communication. Sadly, this place does not practice doing it. I get it that delays are a problem and other things get in the way (covid is a grand example) but the surviving businesses get the communication right, they add the extra effort and make sure their customers are in the loop. I don't think Homeplus fits that description and I worry they are setting themselves on a path that many other franchises have travelled, oblivion. Don't pay deposits to this place because they dont meet good business practices.

Very poor service for the following reasons: 1. Booked the first inspection of the property for installation of railing and no one showed up until a week later due to the receptionist booking the wrong date. 2. After they had given me the quote I was told the job would be started in 4 weeks. 9 weeks later the job hadnβt started and then we went into lock down. Home plus tried to blame lockdown for their poor service and would not accept any responsibility 3. Started the job once we were in alert level 3, left the job unfinished for about a week. I called the receptionist and complained about all these things and poor communication. She interrupted me and was rude. 4. The job was only finished after I chased them up. No apology or discount offered for shoddy service. Very poor customer service and communication due which ruined this experience. The tradies who came over to do the job were fine and polite and the workmanship was good, but poor customer service
