   Learning about New Zealand Awaits was the luckiest break for us. There was no way we could navigate the North and South Islands as well without Debbie to realistically plan it, recommend great accommodations, and pull it all together. We were "self-driven," which made us feel like explorers in a new country, but always with a destination—like the Maori village and geothermal springs, the phenomenal Siberian Experience near lovely Wanaka, and the wonderful Trips & Tramps tour at Milford Sound. The detailed info and tips we got gave us the confidence and comfort to be on our own in an endlessly beautiful country. We made every minute count (even the down time) and got the trip we dreamed of!

   This was our first-ever group tour and we are surely spoiled if we ever do another one! Debbie started planning our trip months in advance, and beautifully tailored it to our group's needs and interests. It could not have been more perfect. Debbie's deep knowledge of and passion for the land, people, and culture of New Zealand shined through on every leg of our journey. For our entire two week tour we felt completely nurtured and taken care of. We never had to worry about details because it had all been planned and executed expertly. I can't recommend NZ Awaits highly enough!

   Having worked many years in the travel industry it had become a habit to always arrange our own trips. However, New Zealand seemed like the kind of place where it would make sense to get local recommendations. Thus, we found Debbie Clarke. From that point forward, New Zealand became a land of wonderful people, wonderful sights, and wonderful experiences. From start to finish, Debbie left no stone unturned to tailor the perfect trip designed specifically for us. The right activities, the right culture, the right nature, the right hosts - all put together in a neat package. During our stay she checked in to ensure all was going well. Our hosts all commented how much advance communications she made with them to ensure our stays would be memorable. And they were! Bottom line - New Zealand - YES! Debbie Clarke and New Zealand Awaits - YES! Don't hesitate - and don't bother doing it yourself - get Debbie and her team on- board and they'll put together the trip of a lifetime.

   We had an amazing trip planned out from NZ Awaits. We visited the North Island and were able to visit a variety of different areas. We kept Debbie’s notes with us the whole time, and always felt safe going from place to place. The accommodations chosen were all beautiful and very comfortable. I just told her the types of activities and places we’d like to visit and she whipped up an itinerary with everything we wanted to do! A mix of sight seeing, boat and river fishing, Maori village tour, hiking, geyser seeing, Hobbiton, wine tasting, etc, all with beautiful views! Will definitely travel with NZ Awaits again when we come back to visit the South Island. I wish I could use her in every country!

   We were impressed with how much fore-thought (and continued thought) went into this trip. The amount of concern for the well-being of every person on the tour was exceptional. The quality of the accommodations and meals was top notch and the varied experiences on both islands were exciting and wonderful. The small companies you worked with made each adventure fantastic.
