I've been attending events at The Meteor for years. Always great to see how much they support people in the community. I'm the last couple of years I have performed at the Meteor, and the staff are great.
We went to see the Christmas trees. Greeted by a friendly team at the door. Lots of amazing and imaginative trees with unique designs. Free hot chocolate which was really good. Having an awkward family photo section with loads of costumes to choose from was a great idea. Well done team!
I've played here with a band and also watched other concerts, plays etc. Good variety of acts and a helpful team behind the scenes.
Enjoyed An Anzac Broadcast from the Hamilton City Brass Vocalists Zachary Clarke,Brooke Ottaway & Jack Turner absolutely amazing.Well done.
On the way between the opening foyer and the concert hall, the floor slopes. Be careful. Great venue. Good concert.
This venue offers a flexible space which can be used creatively for any style of production. I had the great fortune of performing here back in 2020 and revisiting the venue this week. The newly renovated updated gender neutral bathrooms are spacious, clean, acoustically sound (I checked!) and an incredible touch to this unique and historical space. The front lobby is quaint and welcoming. It opens up to the gallery, which is bright and open. The rehearsal space upstairs is a fantastic hub for production and performance learning. 10/10 recommend.
This theatre had a nice intimate feel about it. The theatre itself had comfortable seating and gave everyone a good view of the stage. You felt a great connection with the actor who was "right there".
Love Meteor theatre. It's one of my favorites in Hamilton. For art shows, smaller concerts or plays, it's great. They have an accessible entry ramp or stairs. They have a good selection in their bar, Duck Island ice creams for sale, as well as chocolate and chips. The staff are always friendly and helpful if you need anything. It’s awesome to support local voices and see our stories but they get a lot of travelling shows, which are excellent as well.
The best people in Hamilton either work here, or come here to have their curiousity piqued, and to have their lives filled with art. No im not drunk writing this, it really is the tits
