   We caught a Mainland Taxi from Christchurch railway station to Hereford Street. We were charged AU$40 for the trip, in cash Apparently the meter wasn't working! A reputable driver told us that the maximum fare is about NZL$25. These disreputable drivers should be ashamed ripping off tourists like this.

   Coming home from holiday, at ChCh International Airport, he refused to take us, and the people behind us because we we werent going far enough!!!! Never will we attempt to get into a Mainland Taxi again!!!!!

   Was over charged - I saw $43 on the taxi meter - and charged $57.90 - when I queried the driver told me it was the eftpos charge. Driver wanted me to pay wave - not insert my card - be careful.

   Had asked in advanced for the price of the ride was told it would cost $100 to get to the destination and be told it was going to be 180 folowing this my card declined he end up taking $168.10 as I had already given him my card. He told us his name was Alic or Alex but have since been told that they don't have a guy with that name. I Would avoid using these guys if possible as they can't track these taxis which poses risk to their customers.

   Very dishonest. Driver charged $39 for a 4km ride, almost double of his printed fare calculations. He claimed railway station pickups have extra charge cos he queued for 3 hours but this wasn’t stated anywhere. He wouldn’t provide a receipt if we paid in cash. The “meter” on his cellphone (hidden until we arrived) kept running like a stopwatch even when the car wasn’t moving. We disputed the fare and he lowered his fare to $30 - his fare calculations didn’t seem legitimate at all. We stood our ground and only offered to pay based on his printed fare schedule, and mentioned settling the dispute via the police if needed. Eventually the driver gave up and left without taking any money.

   Dishonest taxi drivers in Christchurch. Do not use this taxi company coming home last night the driver had the charge on his phone not a meter. He charged $4 per km and $1.39 per minute and a flag fall. Total was $87 when an Uber would charge maybe 30-35. They are such cheats. This is evident by my brother arguing and the driver reducing to $50. I am disgusted that this was in NZ. This is not overseas. Again be aware of this company.

   Got to our destination with meter reading 39.40. While we were grabbing our stuff the driver cleared the meter and charged us $53.

   They seem to be stuck in the 90s and only take card payment through those ancient carbon-copy press machines, to which they charge a $3 fee. 18km trip costed me $86. If only I'd read these reviews! Just get an Uber.

   Don't trust these guys. They are full of lying dishonest drivers trying to rip off kiwis. These foreign drivers are the worst in this company from my experience. Afghani drivers like to take advantage of people and their tongues only speak lies. As per other people's posts, once we reached destination he said eftpos machine is broken and didn't accept my cards, wanted me credit card details and asked for a receipt. It only had a gst number that didn't match anything and a fee. Avoid at all costs. Take a taxi from the bigger companies. Pic is of taxi with a filthy lying driver

   The taxi man didn't attempt to use Google maps to find my place. He was driving while using the phone. Answered the phone to some friend,while driving, and said ... I quote " oh not much , I have a pretty girl in the back and I'm driving her home ." Which was unprofessional and made me very uncomfortable as a single female traveler. That it something I've heard from kidnapping shows. I expressed how that seemed innipropriate and unprofessional. The driver did not seem bothered. Also , I felt very uncomfortable having a camera staring straight at my face in the back seat. Which I don't recall Is legal in New Zealand. Feel free to correct me. Over I felt unsafe, uncomfortable, annoyed, and treated poorly by this service. Part of the license plate - NP*85* For some privacy. But I hope no other single traveling female has to experience that. Wouldn't NOT recommend

   We had an appointment at Christchurch wellness center and was really running a bit late. Happened to take their taxi to Burnside road, for less then 2 km he charged me $23.50 when clearly on the meter was $11.60. How the hell the additional $ was added. He was rude and kept cribbing that we could walk instead of taking a taxi as he waited 3 hours in the line not to drop off people so close. What a rip off!! Beware and don't use their service again. Pathetic service and complete waste of money.
