It's great if you don't have any friends
Did you know its cheaper to live in an apartment in the city centre studying in Auckland? I Was going to stay here for another 3 years but its clear to me they're greedy for money, litterly everyone here is complaining about it. It's the same with the course I took, which they completely changed and didn't bother asking students if they were keen on that (they weren't). All in all its overpriced, mandatory events, they can come into your room whenever they want without permission. You have to pay $3.50 per electronic plug on top of the rent (that keeps going up). It looks & feels like a psychiatric ward, sometimes people are drunk and extremely loud on weekdays. There is no aircon whatsoever so if you're from cannada, the Arctic circle etc don't bother coming you will be boiling all day and the windows can't be open that far which further gives that fine psychiatric touch. Tbh I do feel like moving out. But it is close to town, you can walk to class just like that, good place to get off your face and meet new friends, have a shower longer than 10 minutes without your mum telling you to stop doing the haka hahahaha chur

If your looking for somewhere to stay when you studying at wintec then this is a really convenient place to live, just five minute to all your courses and ten minutes to the city centre itβs a great location for studying, it a bit over priced in my opinion and they keep putting the price up so if you want to save money then this probably isnβt the best, if you have a car you will also need to pay for a car parking spot with is $600 a year but you honestly donβt need a car if you live here everything is in walking distance. The facilities are very modern but the kitchens are not as well supplied everything is from Kmart and has either Brocken or is so well used it isnβt hygienic to use. The wifi is very good but there can be times where it doesnβt work or wonβt connect your device. The common areas can become dirty because of the amount of foot traffic they get but are overall well equipped.
