A frustrating and disappointing experience with this company. In general they were slow to respond, made some mistakes, appeared time poor and provided a poor service considering the fees paid. I required their services for a separation agreement and the financial settlement with my ex-partner. The agreement was simple and was not onerous. I practically wrote the agreement and put in all the figures to send to the other sides lawyer. The other sides lawyer responds with some points that cannot be claimed and this lawyer says something along the lines of “oh yeah this cannot be claimed”. I’m left thinking what the f*** am I paying you a ridiculous fee for then? You essentially admitted you haven’t been through what I drafted and just forwarded it on with the letterhead. Another occasion was where I drafted a response I had sent to them and I made a revision to some figures and asked them to update the previous draft letter I sent to them. They said Ok and then they send the old letter anyway with incorrect figures. Careless! Once the financial figures were agreed the final settlement letter had to be drafted. The other side took several weeks to complete this so I asked this lawyer to draft one up so we could close it out. She essentially refused to do so and said it would take a long time and incur big fees. My shock when I saw the final letter form the other sides lawyer and found nothing that would take more than 30 minutes to draft up. It was a very basic letter and they would have a template to use. This is goes back to the general reluctance to assist and feeling of you being a very low priority for them. They should not charge the high fees if they provide a poor service and/or are too busy to provide a good service.

Well unimpressed with this firm. I went here after a personal recommendation to sort a dissolution of a relationship - had a 40 min meeting to discuss my situation and 12 months later I finally heard back from them via email, only to be told they hadn't heard anything from the other party's lawyer - accompanied by a $1200 bill I was required to pay.
