Great place to visit. Bit high in entry fee but did the guided tour with Karen and she was very knowledgeable having first hand experience . Made the whole time enjoyable.
It is very overpriced for what is on offer. Nearly $200 for an adult and 2 children is not value for money. The 4D experience isn't even 3D and the 4th dimension involves being squirted in the face with water. The summer storm room was an experience and the Hagguland ride was fun, definitely the highlight. I would have liked to see more about the early exploration.
For the $70 per adult entry fee we were left underwhelmed. The exhibits in the building were looking a bit old and tired, and the penguin experience was not up to what we expected. The ride in the Haagland though was a lot of fun!
A great learning experience with a sense of adventure for "mature" visitors. The storm room and Haglund ride were awesome and challenged me to overcome my hatred of cold and fear of roller coaster-ish rides. Be sure to plan your trip around the penguin feeding times. Note - very warm coats are provided for the storm room, there's no need to bring your own.
Great place for both kids and adults. The whole experience is really nice, we went thinking to stay for max 1hour but it turned out to be much longer because we wanted to explore more and more. And the staff and the ticket counter is really nice too. Only downside is the restaurant, the food is pretty slow. For some French fries we waited almost 20 minutes almost missing the penguins’ feeding time and same happens for another table which left most of the food uneaten because the had the trip with the snow cars planned
A good place for kids. You can see penguins, huskies, storm room -17 degrees. My daughter loved it when she went there to attend her friend 's birthday party.
Great place, well worth a visit. Very informative. The free ride on the Hugglelund all terrain vehicle was surreal. The guides warn you it's not for the faint hearted or those with back issues and that is true!. It's 1 very bumpy, rough ride. The 4D movie is awesome and you will get wet during it. The penguin feeding was interesting and you can see the penguins in the nesting boxes too from inside. The snowstorm room was freezing -18 degrees. Very friendly staff, highly recommend. Good pricing too.
Very overated and over priced. Not ideal for kids under 5. Not much for them to do. It is very educational if you're into that but not many penguins to look at and experience.
The facilities are very good. The staff are very welcoming. There are two big-screen movies, a 4D theater experience, and a project to experience the Antarctic storm is also very good. Both my son (15y) and I learned a lot about Antarctica. This venue requires a lot of capital investment and I think it is worth the money.
Informative and the Haglund ride was great. Plenty to experience and the little penguins are cute. A nice way to kill a few hours.
