Great dancing
Starting dancing with Fevah and buying a house are the two best things I've done for myself - and dancing is much cheaper! It's easy to get started with Fevah modern jive and the atmosphere is very social and friendly.
Do you think you'd like to try dancing but are sure you have two left feet? Do you want to dance but your partner doesn't want to? Do you want an activity to stay fit that is more fun than the gym? Give Fevah a go. Lessons are stand alone so if you miss one it's no big deal and you learn at your pace. Fevah social dancing means dancing with whoever asks you or whoever you ask, so going without a partner is never an issue. But most importantly it is FUN and people are friendly and supportive. Often I arrive feeling a bit stressed and/or tired and after 5 minutes realise my spirits are soaring and life is sweet. Not only am I doing something fun that is good for mind and body but I am helping others to do the same. What else is there that delivers so many benefits all at once?
A Fabulous dance club. Having clicked up my 100th class only this week, I recalled the amazing teachers and taxi assistants who were present to share the evening. Fantastic social dance scene in Christchurch for all ages. What I love about it is that you change partners frequently during classes and freestyle dancing so you get to meet a lot of people. The dance parties are usually packed so it's very social and the music's great! Modern jive is pretty easy to learn, they teach beginner and intermediate moves every class night, and you can take it as far as you like - intermediate-level social dancing, or get more serious and go to national competitions.
