   Dear Christchurch Soccer team, Yesterday you visited West Rolleston Primary School. When my son found out he was so excited! I would be ashamed of yourselves!! To let children down because they don't have supporter gears, if this was for promotion purposes your promoters didn't do a good job, so many kids left disappointed because they didn't have the clothes to get a meet a greet! What are you promoting? No supporter gears sorry no meet and greet! Professional?? Nope! To see my child come to the car just absolutely gutted!! Because of how much he wanted to meet the team. Are you promoting kids to love football?? Nope you have to have supporter gear. Soccor fans don't have to have gear to like a sport! At least the NZ Warriors wouldn't turn away children without the logo! They embrace the meet and greets. Think about that one before you do a school visit!

   I enrolled my 12-year-old son in the holiday program at Christchurch United Football Club, which focused on individual skills for U12 to U16 players, including dribbling and technical development. Unfortunately, my experience was far from satisfactory. The session involved grouping older children into one team for attacking, while a younger team defended. My son was placed as the goalkeeper, and during the session, a few strong shots resulted in him breaking and dislocating his hand. I was only informed of the injury an hour after dropping him off, which was extremely distressing. Worse yet, no one from the club reached out to check on his condition following the incident. While the academy manager, Jude, initially offered a refund for the fees, this was not honored. When I later visited the club, Jude seemed unusually relaxed about the situation. He mentioned this was the first injury of its kind and assured me my son hadn’t been in goal for long periods, even he didn't talk with my son who was there. I found this response to be lacking in empathy and concern, especially considering my son's injury, which will keep him out of sports for three to four months. Although the club has good facilities, I was deeply disappointed by the poor communication and lack of accountability shown by the coaches. I hope this feedback is taken seriously and that improvements are made to ensure the safety and well-being of future participants.

   Great facilities, turf are clean and the grass pitch outside facing the car park are well maintained including the hidden lone football grass pitch surrounded by trees which personally for me a gem.

   I have been a footballer all my life, including club management. I have never seen such a magnificent club facility all thanks to the forward thinking Russian philanthropist who wanted something better for his children and community. The standard the facility offers is magnificent
