Henry & the team are amazing! I was really anxious about doing my test, and as soon as i walked in i felt cared for Henry did both my tests, the first time didn’t go to plan, and henry cared for me and understood my situation after my test was done. The second time, henry was exactly the same caring, calming and assuring, and stoked to give me the pass, his smile said it all. Henry doesn’t just do his “job” he genuinely cares and wants the best for everybody. The receptionists are lovely as well, and make sure you are 100% certain with everything. Highly 100% recommended this vtnz for all your needs.
Terrible experience. I waited 3 weeks for this booking because it was the only available slot, and then they went and changed it at the last minute without warning. Instead of honoring the original date, they rebooked me for 15 days later – completely unacceptable. I made my schedule around this, and now I’m left scrambling. Unreliable and unprofessional. If you value your time, I’d suggest going elsewhere.
I had a wonderful experience at VTNZ. From the moment I walked in, the two receptionists were warm, welcoming, and very helpful, making the process smooth and stress-free. The branch was clean, tidy, and well-organised, with clear signage and a comfortable waiting area — being offered coffee while I waited was a lovely touch. Henry, my driving instructor, was absolutely fantastic. He explained everything clearly before the test, making sure I understood what to expect, and his friendly, professional manner instantly put me at ease. During the test, Henry gave clear guidance and maintained a calm atmosphere, which really boosted my confidence. I truly appreciate Henry’s professionalism and the way he made the whole experience feel positive and supportive. Overall, excellent service from start to finish at VTNZ.

All signage clearly states “cars and trucks”, including lane signage and signage on the building. One tiny printed A4 sheet of paper stuck to a signboard outside reception announces they no longer provide WOF services. Beyond shocking for such a large establishment.
$250 for a 30 minute COF?! Disgusting!! Absolute scammers. The lady at reception is awfully rude and miserable on the phone and in person. Avoid this place
No clear signs that there are no wofs typical vtnz self entitled water for 15 minutes to be tod no wofs receptionist disgusting manners and customer service
Pulled behind two other cars in the car lane but after 20 minutes nothing was moving so gave up and left. Only later to find out they don't do car wofs any more. The office lady had seen me there and said nothing and also why have a lane marked for cars when you no longer do them. Terrible.
I rang and spoke to Teresa about getting a COF. She told me she booked me in with Putaruru at 2pm as she could access their booking system. I was very clear I wanted to book Putaruru to avoid traffic at Tauranga. My COF expired the following day as noone told me I could do it 14 days early. I turn up to Putaruru to find. Teresa has booked me ⁹at Tauranga , instead. I ring and she is incredibly rude and dismissive and gaslights me. How about you listen to your customers and take responsibility for your incompetence You cost me time, petrol money and caused a great deal of stress Teresa.
