Very unprofessional staff they are just wasting time for thier customers with unwanted issues to revisit. I faced same problem for couple of times. When I revisit to there different branch without fixing the issue they created got WOF passed after checks. Very very unrecommendable. Poor service
Somehow a 4 year old truck with less than 80,000kms failed due to "upper suspension ball joints have no play and won't move" I'm no mechanic but if they didn't move it wouldn't steer easily and the suspension wouldn't work well. As for no play, aren't they supposed to be that way? Took it to a different mechanic and was told they were perfectly fine and this guy must have just had a failure quota or been in a bad mood. Don't waste your time, letting these people make you run around on whims of assumed authority.
Having the booking system in place at the same time as allowing walk ins seems to be making things worse - looks like it’s a nightmare trying to balance both. The guys doing the checks are always friendly and efficient, feel sorry for them trying to balance the workload.
Terrible customer service at VTNZ 9th Ave I had one of the worst experiences here. The staff showed no consistency or fairness in how they handled customers. 1. They let another vehicle into Lane 2 without a booking, but when it was my turn, I was told I needed a booking. 2. The vehicle directly in front of me was 5th in Lane 1. I followed behind as expected, but the staff rudely told me to go back behind everyone else. When I pointed out that the person in front of me also didn’t have a booking, I was told, very rudely, “that’s none of your concern.” The attitude was completely unprofessional, dismissive, and frankly disrespectful. Clear double standards and zero courtesy to customers. I would not recommend this branch to anyone.
Spend hours here waiting in the queue, came through twice and still no pass. Went to another mechanic and got my wof sorted in one go. I wouldn't waste my time going here ever again, SEEK you locl friendly reputable mechanic.
Got in there early because of the stories behind the cues at VTNZ. Arrived at 7.15am ended up third in line. Not to bad. The staff are always friendly and helpful, they definitely know they're stuff. I feel comfortable knowing that my car is totally roadworthy once it gets a warrant.
Had to have some work done to my car so went back for a recheck. Pulled into the left lane but got moved to the right. Sat and waited for almost 2 hours. Everyone in the left lane was seen and gone before I got to the front of the right lane - including those who came after me. Had to turn the car on to run the heater as it was very cold. Used the bathroom - only cold water, no hand towels and the hand dryer was taped off.
If I could give 0 stars I would. Absolutely disgusting service by the woman Maree and the manager of VTNZ tauranga. I arrived 45 minutes early for my driving test to be told my appointment was not today. I showed my booking confirmation which has the correct date and time. The woman at the desk continued to tell me that it wasn't until the following week. I argued it saying my confirmation stated otherwise. She gave me a card and said if I had any questions call Waka Kotahi. After being made to feel like a competent idiot I decided to call the manager and complain. He called me back to say we won't be receiving an apology because his Staff member said she wasn't rude and did nothing wrong! Just to top it off a worker outside (who was lovely) told me that someone had called in sick but I should have received a text stating that my appointment had been post poned... which I did not! So I left work 2 hours early to get there for an appointment that had been canceled at 6:30am but nobody told me! The lack of communication I would have moved past as accidents happen but the customer service did not make up for it whatsoever! VTNZ I expect to hear from you soon.
Absolutely hopeless, waited 3 hours to get a wof on my trailer, failed on a bushing, took to mechanic who said bushing are perfect. All this running around and cost to me because their inspector is obviously incapable at their job. Had to sit in another line of cars for 2 hours for a recheck. Classic all care no responsibility type organization
Very thorough with their Safety Inspections to ensure we are safe on the roads - Although it's very Busy with a bit of a wait, once in the Inspection is Quick. Tidy and clean, polite Customer Service. At present the Fee was $65.00 for a WOF 5/1/21
