   I recently had the pleasure of staying at Eyreview Retreat with Julia and David, and it was an absolute delight! From the moment I arrived, I felt right at home. Feeding the alpacas and ponies was such a unique and enjoyable experience, and the dogs were incredibly friendly and welcoming. Julia and David’s warm hospitality made a big difference and they truly went above and beyond to make our stay memorable. We arrived late so it was wonderful to have breakfast with fresh bread, cereals, juice, butter, and jam in the accommodation. We highly recommend Eyreview Retreat, especially if you seek a remote, private, and family-friendly place with plenty of space. The accommodation was clean and tidy had all the essentials provided and feels just like home, with added bonus being surrounded by animals. The location is simply stunning, with breathtaking surroundings close to the start of the Inland scenic route and just 25 minutes from Christchurch airport making it super convenient. If you're looking for a peaceful getaway in the countryside, I highly recommend Eyreview Retreat. A solid 10 out of 10 experience!

   The property description does not reflect the reality. Very basic, old, smelly although painted freshly. No outdoor area as we were informed that lawn is private area. Not much animals (lamas, dogs, mini horses) but for the farm tour we were requested 50 dollars. It is nothing to do there especially with a child, far away from any attractions, not a relaxing place at all. Totally misled by current rating on booking. Had to leave and find different accomodation but the hosts returned only part of prepayment, charged us more than one night cancellation fee. First place out of 5 we stayed during this vacation that charged for 5 yo as an extra person.
