    Should have taken the time to read the reviews of this place.... Very neglected inside and out. Really dark and unwelcoming in the rooms. The lounge set was probably from Temu, hard as a rock. We didn't spend much time there apart from sleeping so managed to get through it. wouldn't leave anything of value there during the day due to the permanent residents inhabiting a few of the units. Definitely won't stay again.

    This only deserves 1 star. Laundry beside our room which was like a bunker under main residence. Worst roll together bed, carpets filthy, microwave smelt terrible, no hand towel or tea towel. Garrage beside our unit hired out to local boy racers. Absolutely disgusting families and grounds. Ask fit another room and told no vacancies only to be offered room an hour later since we had unpacked and were about to go out. Air con so noisy had to turn it off and freeze all night,ended up sleeping side ways in the bed to try and get some comfort out of bed! Refer to photos posted.

    The photos on the site are old. It does not look like this anymore. Stayed in unit 5. $130 for the night. Someone else's old dirty socks under the main room bed. Filthy rubbish bins. Mold in the shower. Floors needed a good vacuum, and a broken window which almost looked like a bullet hole in it. Plus dirty ceilings. Most uncomfortable couches to sit on, and tv was Freeview only. Would not recommend.

    I booked a room to stay after a heart procedure at Christchurch hospital. Due to the doctor strike it was cancelled the morning I was due to travel. I booked through Booking.com. I advised of cancellation which gave three days' notice and explained the situation. I asked them to consider refunding me in full and I would rebook once I had a new date. I received an abrupt one liner refusing my request. Have stayed several times as have family in Rangiora. Never again.

    the pictures are difinely not all the rooms, our room was so bad that we would not even shower in it. the mold was so bad in toilet and shower. the smell of urine in toilet was also bad. I booked and paid for the room months ago, so could not leave. my fault should of done my homework. Would not stay again.

    I stayed for a few days on holiday the owner hospitality was great she offered help to dry my clothes without any extra cost while my granddaughter and i could go to Christchurch for the day every thing in the unit immaculate and anything we wanted know they would be so helpful i recommend this lodge Motel to anyone or groups who want to stay in Rangiora also it's very close to the town and picture theatre 15min walk awesome.

    This hotel belongs in the 70s. The shower and bathroom haven’t been updated for 50 years.. Not enough warm bedding and we were not prepared to use old dusty blanket stored in wardrobe. A relic- to be missed.

    Great location and from the pictures and reviews we thought this place was the best option to stay in when we did our big move to Canterbury four years ago but... The rooms were overpriced, old and extremely cold. There was only a shower and the water wasn't able to heat up for the family of four of us. The bedsheets were dirty and sleep was uncomfortable. We weren't able to park outside of our room as the owners forgot they had booked us the room on that night so we were made to park at reception on a rainy early September night. No apologies or refund even partial given. The service really sweet though which made the rating higher as the owners were apologetic and kind.

    Very basic motel. No heaters turned on during wet Winter icy chill on arrival. No hair dryer, no light in shower cubicle, no drawers to stash toiletries etc. But a happy, cheerful staff

    Large rooms with good amenities. If u grew up in a 50s / 60s house in Canterbury this is classic. Very comfortable. Very quiet. Excellent parking. And fair prices. Recommended.
