Mince on Toast. Mince was really nice but toast that is done under a greasy grill is never nice. Also need to work out a way to keep all the bird mess off the outside tables and chairs
We were driving SH 1 from Auckland to Hamilton and got peckish at just the right time. This adorable cafe is less than 5 minutes off the highway as was SO worth the mini-detour!! They also had lots of veggie and meat quiches and a few pie options. My partner had a huge slight of ham and cheese quiche which was packed with ham. I got a hearty roasted veggie quiche. Both hot dishes we ordered were served with a really yummy chutney on the side. The 'magic slice' we had for dessert was heavenly. It was a hard choice to make though - they had several interesting baked goods that I have not seen elsewhere. And certainly not at such a reasonable price point. It was good value for the portion size, and exceptional quality. The staff were very friendly and there was tons of seating, both indoors and outdoors. There were several tables available but we opted to sit at the bar-style seating overlooking the garden and pond. There was a big roof over most of the patio so getting a seat in the shade was no problem. The whole place had a great vibe. If you get a chance, stop in!!
Decided to retreat from Auckland to venture to this quant cafe by the Waikato river. The cafe is quite spacious with plenty of indoor seating and outdoor seating with good view of the Waikato river. The menu seemed a bit limited and the tastes was ok. A tad pricey but lenient because of the peaceful ambience. Easy to find parking.
Was driving through Taupiri and seen this place and thought I better stop in and I’m so glad I did cause I had such an amazing experience at this cafe. The service was really good and my meal arrived in less than 10 minutes from ordering! I ordered the eggs Benedict and honestly, it was the best I’ve ever had. Perfectly poached eggs, rich hollandaise, and everything was beautifully cooked. I also tried the caramel slice and carrot cake which were absolutely delicious There’s plenty of indoor seating, plus a large outdoor area which is really good on a sunny day. Can’t wait to come back!
plenty of parking. good selection of food and drinks. we had a bowl of fries and some hot chocolates. indoor and outdoor seating available. friendly enough staff.
Love this place n so does everyone else! It’s a must for me to grab a lemon cake w/ yoghurt from here! Food is amazing! Thick thick cut toast with the eggs benny soooo delicous!
Great little cafe! Was busy but they had plenty on offer and served us quickly and efficiently. Really nice spot along the river too with plenty of big tables for large groups. Will definitely be going back.
Beautiful sandwich the flavours just match, pickle with a slight taste of red onion, coffee long black was spot on. The restaurant was fill for Brunch service great loved it all. My passionfruit melting moment soft not too sweet went well with coffee. We also took home carrot cake lemon sour cake and another melting moment.
We discovered the café on our way down South - and were rewarded with delicious breakfast options. The coffee was great, too! The coffee shop is located next to Waikato river, has lots of seating and parking spots available. The service was very efficient. The hygiene facilites were clean.
