There are some good gp's but as for the practice itself, personally, I will not and cannot recommend this practice to anyone. Had problems with this practice from day one and 10 years later, nothing chanced.
I have lived all over NZ and never had such an amazing GP practice! The nurses are so lovely and supportive, reception are great and very organised and they have a great diverse team of GPs. I cannot recommend them enough, especially to those with young families.
Bad. This medical practice falsely claimed multiple appointments on my health insurance and has provided me terrible care. 3 weeks for an appointment and every time a different doctor. Better off using webmd at home. I had liver failure from h2so poisoning and they wrote down that I was drunk. Gross negligence
Have terminal cancer visiting from Australia i explained I’m a nz citizen visiting from Australia forgot a medication I only needed 5 tablets i haw my Australian script on my phone . The Pharmacy next door said hopefully the medical centre can give you an urgent script . Was told by receptionist no you need to go to Christchurch there’s 3 medial centres that do walk ins .i said it will be a 2 minute appointment for 5 tablets . I said it’s really important that I have this drug its detriment to my health if I don’t . Not blaming the receptionist obviously a directive from management shame on them. I Own based business and would never would treat patients like this
It's never nice to have to take a trip to the after hours but the staff at Pegasus are fantastic. They're always so thorough and empathetic. I've been to there after hours twice now for 2 different urgent issues, I've also accompanied family members there when they've had health scares and all those times the doctors there have always been professional and treated us with kindness. They're probably so overworked and undervalued but they still put their best foot forward to treat those that need them. The wait times can be long but it's a great place to go if you want great doctors and nurses and access to a lot of the medical equipment and resources required for a vast array of emergency treatments.
I am so glad to have finally found a practice that provides such high quality service at every level; from the welcoming, reassuring staff at reception, to the compassionate, extremely diligent nurses and HP, to the exceptionally thorough, kind and attentive doctors. There is excellent communication between staff, which has resulted in very a prompt and efficient response to every crisis I have dealt with this year. They have all helped in every way possible, making emergency appointments when necessary, dealing with my concerns immediately and working together on complex issues to ensure I have been well taken care of in and out of the practice. I was particularly impressed on one occasion when staff at reception noticed I was upset in the waiting room, and offered another room to wait in with the support of a nurse. It is this attention to detail that continues to impress me. I couldn't ask for more in a medical practice, thank you team.
I am extremely disappointed. I made a payment on the day of my appointment in March however for some reason the payment was not put against my account. I received emails saying they were sending my account to the debt collector after I had told them that the account had been paid on the day. I then realised that they had also overcharged me when I provided evidence of the payment. I have asking for them to clear the amount due and refund the money however it has been over a month and I have heard nothing and no apology either. Myself, my parents and grandparents have been patients for years and I am not the first person for this to happen to, my dad and two of my grandparents have also had very similar issues. Not good enough and I will not be going back. Definitely DO NOT recommend.
We really trust Dr. Isaac Ryan. We see him with our kids and he has amazing bedside manner. He also listens to us when we come in, he hears what we are saying and really considers what to recommend. We really appreciate having him as our family doctor.
Should rather be renamed to just Pegasus Centre as medical and health care are not a priority. I've had the same issues with a repeat script 4 times in a row. Clearly the reception needs training as what they say and do are completely different. It's rather shocking as repeat medicine are taken because you need to and Pegasus Centre clearly doesn't care about the impact of their negligence on a person's health an wellness.
With all the issues and staff shortages going on in NZ I must say my experience today through this medical centre has been the best I have experienced from the friendly helpful reception, to the fast help from the doctor and speedy and friendly service from the nurse. All I can say thank very much and keep up the awesome work.
