Cousin needed a caliper and went to the older guy to source one. Bought one for a Ford Territory and took it to Russell Mechanics in Frankton to fit. Jamie Russell advised my cousin that the caliper he bought from Outback was worse than the original seized one, effectively my cousin was best to work with the original rather than the one he bought from Outback. After receiving advise from the mechanic, my cousin rung Outback and asked for the older guy to speak with. He said he wasn't available and was out of town and to deal with the younger guy. My cousin went out to speak with this younger man and he did not know what was been spoken off and rung the older guy. A deal was sorted where my cousin could swap the faulty caliper with 2 secondhand tyres for his Territory. Deal was accepted, cousin went out to swap caliper for tyres, young guy didnt know what he was talking about. Cousin gave up and here we leave a disappointing review on this business.
Very easy company to deal with. They had great communication and the parts were delivered with no issues. They make the whole process of getting spare parts for older vehicles simple.

I ordered a part for my Pajero trough Outback 4x4. When it arrived it turned out to not be quite the right part, which was likely a fault of my own. I figured I was out of luck but contacted Outback 4x4 anyways. The helpful staff figured out what the correct version of the part was and then tracked it down for me. They shipped it out at no extra cost with a return bag for the wrong bit. Customer service has been excellent through the whole thing. Thanks for getting me sorted out guys! Would obviously recommend!
My significant other went to purchase a part from this company. They tried to make him remove the part from the car that it was in (bless him but he is not very bright and has no mechanical experience). It ended up being the wrong part despite him checking with them before travelling from Auckland to collect it, they then got aggressive and tried to make him pay for the part. Police were phoned and situation resolved however I would be very cautious about any transactions with this company.
