Highly recommended! They are fast, honest, reliable and go above and beyond at a low cost. Tracy (the receptionist) is amazing, so helpful and welcoming. Definitely my go to mechanic, better than others in the area who mucked me around and made me feel intimidated. The mechanics are very knowledgeable in what they do. Definitely worth the trip from Christchurch city as well for excellent, professional services
Customer service is one of the worst I have ever had to deal with. A job that could of taken a day took 2months, on top of that extra damage was caused! Will not be using them again, not will I recommend them! Also asked for a service halfway into the 2months and nothing done, when I ask the owner to call me back he takes 3weeks to call me back gets aggressive and try’s to tel me to get a job. (Backstory: My visit to High Street Motors was for car repairs for a failed WOF. I was advised to visit this store by a relative because the initial store was possibly overcharging me.) I had the most pleasant experience and encounter from the get-go with High Street Motors without having met the team. I felt a warm presence from Kim on the phone who booked me in during a suitable timeframe. I made another call on the same day as I was unsure how WOF's rechecks work and Kenzie also warmly explained this. In the end, the team at High Street Motors charged me less than what was quoted - which goes to show their level of integrity and honesty towards their customers! As a student, truthfully, I have quite limited savings and have no knowledge about car repairs. I am quite lucky to have family relatives who work in this industry and so I was advised to visit High Street Motors (because another company was possibly overcharging me). The atmosphere felt warm and it felt comfortable being there for my repairs (Thanks to Kim and Kenzie)! I am truly grateful that there are businesses honest about their costs and are genuinely kind and welcoming people! (I was actually there for quite a while, however, it didn't feel that long!).
