We needed our garage door fixed urgently so filled out the form on the website. We got a very prompt response from Matt which we were very impressed by! He was able to install a new garage motor in for us by Tuesday afternoon. Matt is very professional and knowledgeable. We will be going straight to him for all our garage needs in the future!
We had Matt from Independent Door Services come out to fix our garage door after recently moving. There was something not quite right with it that we unfortunately hadn’t picked up on the pre-purchase inspection. Matt’s customer service was second to none - he replied promptly when I initially contacted him and then was able to squeeze us in the next day which was an added bonus. He found the issue which was due to an installation error by another installer and managed to fix it on the spot. So pleased to have the peace of mind that the door is safe and secure. Matt is super knowledgeable and competent and also really reasonable in what he charged for the call out and repaid. We’ll definitely call on Independent Door Services if we have any issues in the future.
In a market where there are so many cowboys walking around as tradesmen, I was absolutely fortunate to have found Matt when we had an issue with our garage door some years ago. These guys are excellent! Great service, friendly & turned up when expected. After 10 years our door is like new & so quiet. Sensors are also great to stop the 4 cats getting squashed

I thought the door was beyond repair after 20 years with bent top panel and banging/grinding noise when opening and closing. I really expected to be told it needed replacing. Matt arrived on time, explained what the problems were and how he could repair it. After getting the go ahead he went straight to work, a brace and new motor later I am very happy with the result. Wow ...totally impressed by Matt from Independent Door Services Papakura - a family owned business. Prompt reply on quotation, and service outstanding. Matt arrived with his fellow colleague, induced himself and got stuck into the job. He fully insulated my double garage door. Whilst doing so, saw that the tension wires were beginning to fray, and recommended to replace, - he adjusted the spring and just like magic, my door was done. Totally professional, and cleaned up after he finished. A five star review in my eyes.
My garage spring was broken in weekend and I contacted few contractors in weekend but no luck but Matt rang me first thing on Monday morning while I was still asleep, Great service , arrive at the time given and had everything for service.
