I love taking my dog there. We go after 5pm. My son who lives up the walkway from beach takes his dog b4 10am. It's off leash as well. All dogs are well socialized that are off leash. Very safe.
Melons Bay is one of our favourite beaches in East Auckland. My husband and I went there on 12/12/2023 for a lovely walk. There were usually not many people there so we could enjoy the tranquility of the beach and enjoy our precious moments. We highly recommend you to visit there if you live in East Auckland.
A small and clean beach. Lots of parking. Ideal place to walk your dog.
Great spot to catch the sunrise, explore rock pools or just go for a walk. Lots of dog walkers with easy parking and public toilets.
Beautiful park, has a big parking lot, public toilet, shower and water fountain. Beautiful view of the sea. You can take walk along the beach, walk your dog. Very peaceful and quiet place. Highly recommended for small group of people or family to visit this place.
Mellons Bay Beach. Has parking at the bottom, as well as top carpark. Plenty of people out walking their dogs at low tide. Also had public toilets by the carpark, which is quite handy. Nice views out to the sea, but can get quite windy if its gusting. Seen plenty of kayaks and jet skis on the water
