Their product was nice and the guy at the counter was very nice and he’s the only reason yall getting a 2nd star now for why you ain’t getting high stars your staff in the yard have no care for safety they don’t seem to know what a seat belt is for and the biggest thing is the trailers that ain’t even street legal in nz if the mudguard doesn’t go as low as th e centre of the axle you’re legally required to have a mud flap that again goes down to at least the centre of the axle now you can see all your trailers used to have mud flaps the bolts are all still there but they’re all broken off and yall don’t care about the customer and too cheap to replace also using a non rated d shackle is poor safety as well so basically I won’t ever be returning here

CHEAP - Value & Price was good CUSTOMER CARE - Needs work Extremely Disappointing Experience – If I could give zero stars, I would. Our experience was nothing short of appalling. The receptionist; an Indian-looking woman with well fluent english — was shockingly rude, arrogant, sarcastic and completely lacking in professionalism. Rather than offering understanding or flexibility, she arrogantly enforced a strict policy, warning us that the gate would be locked at exactly 4:00 PM and we’d be charged a $100 late fee if we returned at 4.00PM. As business owners ourselves, we understand the need for policies. That’s why we made the effort to inform the office ahead that we may be just a few minutes late due to unavoidable traffic. Instead of working with us, we were met with a threatening, inflexible tone that pushed us to rush — nearly resulting in a serious accident at a nearby intersection as we tried to make it back in time. We arrived at 4:00 PM, and my husband took one minute to detach the trailer and rushed into your office! What followed was one of the most sarcastic, and unprovoked encounters I’ve ever experienced in a customer-facing business. I left shaking! The situation only calmed because another staff member stepped in to de-escalate — something the receptionist seemed unwilling or unable to do herself. It surprised me at how that second staff member had the "authority" to void the $100 fee that the manager put in place. I strongly urge management to: 1. Review the phone call and CCTV footage from our arrival. 2. Rethink how your policies are communicated. 3. Address serious gaps in staff training, especially around customer care, empathy, and basic professionalism. Until this is resolved, we won’t be recommending your business to any of our business partners or industry contacts.

I experienced this disgraceful treatment today at Central Landscapes East Tamaki, and I am still furious. I picked up topsoil and a loan trailer at 2:30pm, being told to have it back by 4:00pm. At 3:50pm my wife received a call from a staff member rudely reminding us of the time. We politely explained we were almost finished — only a barrow-load away — and would be just a couple of minutes late. Instead of showing any understanding, this staff member coldly threatened us with a $100 “penalty fee” if it wasn’t back by 4:00pm sharp. That unnecessary call created massive stress. I suddenly felt pressured, drove back erratically, and ended up arguing with my wife on the way — all over being maybe one or two minutes late. It was completely avoidable had your staff simply acted with a bit of patience and basic customer care. We arrived back at 4:00pm, unhooked the trailer, and walked into reception at 4:01. The receptionist then smugly said to my wife, “What happened? Supposed to be here at 4.” That was the final straw. My wife had literally buried her grandmother just three hours earlier, today, and was emotionally broken. She explained this to the smart- arse receptionist, but was met with eye-rolling, sarcasm. At that point, I completely lost the plot. I swore my head off at her, and I believe you are already aware of whats happened today — but only from her side of the story. Only after all this did she backtrack and her collegue came to her aid saying the penalty fee would be “wiped.” That is beside the point. Threatening a $100 fine for being one minute late, and treating grieving customers like garbage, is shameful. As business owners, I have dealt with many landscape suppliers over the years. Every single one of them has shown understanding when small setbacks happen. Never have I been treated with such arrogance, coldness, and inhumanity over something so minor. The contrast is staggering. I demand a response from the manager explaining this so-called “policy,” and I expect a direct apology from this receptionist for her appalling behaviour. Central Landscapes East Tamaki should be ashamed that this is how their staff represent the business.

I had a great experience with Joe and his sister at central landscaping supplies with excellent customer service. I’m NO tradie and me and my girlfriend needed to build a car port / boat pad. I had no idea what I was doing initially, but after lots a Google homework, and working out the cost of concrete vs the costs of doing it yourself, ie, hiring a digger and building a solid platform with Gap20, then Gap 7, then Jac Mats, covered in white stone chip, the job has come a treat and I’m chuffed! Along the way I totally underestimated how much Gap 20 and white chips I needed but Joe and his sister were very flexible, fitted me in where they could and delivered within an hour of a phone call so I could finish the project! Thanks heaps! I highly recommend this team and the pricing is very reasonable.

Awesome selection of products for the backyard or project at home. They will happily deliver for a fair delivery fee, or you can hire one of their trailers (or BYO trailer of course). Friendly staff too!

Got a reply to a quote next morning. I dropped in to confirm a few details and got friendly service from Arthur. Joe confirmed they had the 2m3 of pebbles we wanted. Paid the bill and got the product as promised, on time. Well priced. Driver was good too. No fuss. Would recommend. Thanks Guys.
