   I have recently organised two large events at the Churchill Club, and my experiences could not have been more different. My first event took place on 21st December 2024. Ronnie, who managed the club that evening, went above and beyond to ensure everything ran smoothly. She was incredibly accommodating, welcoming my diverse group of guests and showing a genuine openness to new cultures and event formats. Hosting a dance party at the Churchill Club is not typical, but Ronnie embraced the challenge with enthusiasm and empathy, making sure my guests felt comfortable and valued. Her support and positive attitude made the night memorable for everyone involved. However, my second event on 24th May 2025 was a stark contrast. This time, the experience was marred by the behaviour of an older Asian gentleman managing the club. From the outset, his attitude was negative and unwelcoming, treating my event as an inconvenience rather than an opportunity. Despite having 120 guests (the club’s maximum capacity) and generating significant bar sales on top of the venue charges, he repeatedly asked—both directly and over the microphone—for my guests to return their glasses due to staff shortages. My partner even ended up collecting glasses herself because of how insistent and bossy he was, detracting from her enjoyment of the evening. He also pressured my team, who were there to help set up, to clean tables and food containers, despite us having paid a cleaning fee. Throughout the night, he asked multiple times to lower the music volume, even when the dance floor was full and everyone was enjoying themselves. My guests noticed his behaviour and gave me negative feedback about him, saying it affected their experience. He made no effort to offer a drink to the DJ or provide any recognition for the event organiser, even though the club benefited from high drink sales at non-member prices. Based on these two events, I cannot recommend the Churchill Club for dance parties or similar lively gatherings unless there is a change in management approach. The club may be suitable for quieter socialising or quiz nights, but if you’re looking for a venue that values your business and treats you as more than just a source of revenue, be cautious. My second experience left me and my guests feeling unwelcome, as if we were intruding rather than being hosted.

   We held our adult son's birthday party here. The venue was big enough to host the 80+ people who came. The staff were organised, friendly and accommodating. They let us in early to set up and pack down the next day. They also accommodated disabled guests easily. Everyone had a fantastic night. I highly recommend The Churchill Club for any party and The Revelry for party planning and decor.

   I went to this place for fun on my friend's 21st birthday for the first time in my life. I liked the live bands, I have met about 6 or 7 new friends. I loved the view outside, and I enjoyed throwing the darts at the board. It was a good experience
