Have been seeing Matt Farrimond since getting ACL reconstructive surgery over 2 years ago. Always been excellent service, always feel looked after and in the best hands possible with Matt and the rest of the team! Highly recommend coming here!

Was referred to Tony Edwards in St Johns by my physio for shoulder pain and loss of mobility which only seemed to be getting worse. Tony diagnosed as frozen shoulder within a few minutes and promptly had me on a rehab plan, after a few weeks I was pain free and recovering. Excellent professional, friendly specialists.

For concussion it's well worth coming here or to a place like this. The OTs and doctors understand concussion well and help support/plan your graduated return to activities without burning out your brain, whereas many medical professionals and workplaces don't understand concussion or think you are just making it up. Some of the Physio's are very good, vestibular for balance and eye effects very good set up. Although my vestibular symptoms seemed to resolve itself over time. Neck physio is important with concussion but it took a while to get that and seemed that it wasn't normally supplied apparently with their acc contract. Could have started better. The biggest problems with Axis with concussion is they don't provide the ACC Stay at work program or Training for Independence. So therefore you need another OT to deal with your workplace and set hours and then after a period of time, months, have to find another provider. Also they are very booked out, booking system is archaic involving long periods on the phone and under staffed customer service desk. Although it seemed to improve while there. They need online booking. Takes a long time to start treatment from referral, like a month to start with OT and then a long time to see a doctor, another month perhaps. I went to active plus after the service ended who have also been quite good and may be a better option if you are at work since they provide everything ACC require and Physio's there are excellent for neck treatment. They also have online booking. It could be that both is a good option.

I can't fault the service I have received, reception, doctors, physicians, everyone works together to provide 1st class care. The period of 2 years I have been attending has included 3 changes of Dr, so yeah I'm seeing Dr. 4 now, 1st retired, 2nd went off with all blacks, and 3rd went to live in Seychelles, the experience has been pretty seamless though from my point of view as the patient, so hats off to Axis medical team!

I'm sure the professional team are awesome but I wouldn't know that because after more than two weeks, the clerical team have still not processed my referral! No answer to my email or my phone call yesterday. If you can't see clients, please stop accepting referrals. You're branding yourself as greedy and causing more harm by delaying treatment outcomes.

Really disappointed with the lack of communication, engagement and misleading and confusing instructions and to top it off, when I sought clarity and information the receptionist contradicted herself, shouted down the phone at me then hung up. Obviously they earn too much money to care about patients wellbeing or provide any degree of bedside manner. 3 months and no closer to getting help with my knee. I'm going to have to seek help somewhere else.
