Went in worried came out reassured & very hopeful. We met with a Dr, he was very helpful with what my child needs. He listened to my child and parents concerns about not wanting to put her on medication yet. As she was on medication at 5 and took her off not long after due to our concerns as parents. Now she is 13, we just needed more understanding around what would be helpful to her. He made us understand that there were a few options but we chose what would be helpful to her during school hours to help her focus, as she finds school work very difficult due to her ADHD. Staff were welcoming and lovely.

This truly was the worst experience me and my child went through, this service is honestly I would say extremely traumatic. I would never ever put any child in these peoples care, my child came out worse from this place than what she did going in. Do not take your child here! On the other hand youth health hub that place is phenomenal the ladies my daughter have seen their genuinely acctually care about your child and will do anything to help with your child's difficulties. U may have to sign up first with marinto to then go to yout health hub but get out as soon as you can try and always be with your child they will tell you u not allowed to be as a parent, but do not let them be with your child alone.

Was referred here as minor through my GP and school counselor - the worst people you could ever interact with. Rude and pushy and blatantly mean and have no patience or understanding especially for struggling children - and then refuse to properly communicate anything and will rat you out in seconds, confidentiality is not real here. So bad I just ghosted them because they cause more harm and stress than good.

I gave 1 star. It should be zero stars! After taking my granddaughter I am raising to Marinoto since yr 9, (now 18 yrs and left school), I was told on Friday, Marionoto can't do anything. as she has left school, so not under the Youth Section. No help for anything. Still getting distracted and forgetful. She had 4 tests last week for the course she is currently doing. She said to me, I kept getting distracted. This caused her anixety to surface. I am now going privately. I completed an online referral on Saturday for her. Not cheap! Marinoto you cause families stress!

A child in Marinoto care for many years up until a couple of months ago. There were some case workers who were very genuine, didnt always get it right but did their best. Our grateful thanks to them, they know who they are. However: 1. Accountability was mostly missing, or too limited. For the most part, the child or young person was too fragile to stay or support a complaint procedure, even with help. 2. Skills deficit among some staff, not remedied or addressed. 3. A lack of effective self critique or team critique of its members. Prioritising inter team relations at the expense of patient care. 4.Excess fondness for explaining failures as due to the child or family, and not to own or team practice. 5. Tendency for Psychiatrists to dominate team decisions, even when their own insight into the patient's health was particularly poor. 6. Psychiatrists allowing Northern Health School (NHS) to instruct/persuade them to withhold medical certificates for entrance to NHS, even though all conditions for the certificate were met. So excluding those patients from suitable education. 7. This happened twice. The last time excluding the patient for a school term. 8. Finally the long term neglect of adequate assessment and diagnoses, and therefore treatment and disability assistence. Particularly in the area of autism and ASD.

Difficult to see the value of this organisation when they are completely MUTE! Total lack of understanding and direct communication with families. We needed someone to listen and they failed - when we needed support for our daughter they failed. When we needed action they had a team meeting and failed to get back to us with any response or plan. We are currently obtaining support from a number of alternative organisations.
