   Absolutely stunning, it was such a treat to the eyes, the colourful fauna just touches your soul, we spent 2hrs there and we felt so relaxed a happy in such a peaceful garden. Each area had its own beauty and it was so well manicured, and the different species were all named, we saw so many wonderful varieties of plants not seen before

   Absolutely amazing botanical garden. It’s a little insane that it’s free. I would advise to walk through each garden. It has its own feel. The palm tree garden was really nice so was the urban garden and the kids garden was well done.

   I went to the Auckland Botanical Gardens first thing after exiting the airport on October 6. It was a good experience, very quiet early in the morning. It's entirely free and supports the local community. Some of the highlights would be the water features, the grouping of plants by ecosystem, and the main building, which hosts I spent around an hour there. That was a little short; I think the optimal amount of time is around two hours.

   HUGE!!! FREE! Beautiful. If you are in good shape and are into gardens this is the place. We gave ourselves 2 hrs and made it from the main entrance to the roses and back. Saw plenty of birds including plenty of Tui and the beautiful kekeru in the video. Botero like sculptures, Dna helix fountain. Great plant labeling. Wish we had given ourselves more time. 4hrs is the minimum i would recommended as a garden lover from the USA.

   Had a lovely time at Auckland Botanic Gardens! The gardens are so beautiful and peaceful, with lots of space to walk around and enjoy the flowers and greenery. My family really enjoyed exploring different sections, and the kids loved the playground. A perfect place to relax, take photos, and spend a quiet day surrounded by nature.

   Love taking a walk at the botanical gardens with my kid. Such a great variety of different plants and flowers to see and learn about. I like the footpaths along the gardens: they have a smooth and straight pavement. It is easy for my toddler to ride on on the mini bike without getting bumpy. Maybe one downside: the Cafe at the site gets very busy with a long queue. Advisable to bring your own drink and snacks if don't have patience for the queues.

   Auckland botanic gardens is fantastic park where you can spend hours. It has many gardens and a kid friendly area. There is also a special place for dogs to be off leash. There is also a nice cafe.

   Must have visited the gardens 100+ times in my four or so years in Auckland. An absolute gem, and I think as a result of it being a little out south, many in Auckland won’t have discovered it. Nice to have the off leash area for dogs - our dog isn’t the most social but he still has a great time!

   So well maintained and the most important is that they open up for everyone, it’s free access! I can’t imagine how much efforts those people put in here. weather not that good during the time I visit, but overall I still happy with the experience. (during winter the roses garden might not be that great, try to spend more time around the camellias and magnolias part)

   Great place, lovely atmosphere, we can here while it was cloudy but not raining, and it was the perfect temperature to walk around. We did wish we had come earlier in the year when more of the plants were flowering but there were still lots of lovely things to look at. I highly recommend going to see it. We also went to the cafe, coffee was good, and so were the cakes, everything fresh and the coffee at a perfect temperature.
