   We are so grateful we found such a lovely place for our daughter. She is so excited to go every morning and comes back full of tales of interesting activities they’ve done. The teachers are so great with encouraging the kids to explore their interests and teaching life skills. Highly recommend.

   Marshwood is a welcoming and caring environment with supportive and kind teachers. Everything has always been so clean, tidy and well looked after. The classrooms are spacious and the outside area is a great size with a great playground and play area. Highly recommended!

   Marshwood is a hidden gem. The teachers are a rare combination of excellent developmental experts and a supportive, observant, loving family. They worked alongside our son through an initially tough transition, supporting him with lots of individual attention while giving him room to find his own way. They consulted with us daily about observations and ways to strengthen his progress at home. The teachers pay close attention to every child as a unique individual and put together structured plans that they follow through on. They observe what the children find interesting and build a curriculum from scratch from those topics - age-appropriate and stimulating for every age. Their outdoor area is a large and beautiful sunny yard with endless sections to play in - giant sand pit, shaded play structure, play houses, a trails/jungle area, trees to climb, a large gazebo, water play areas, bugs to find (and examine under magnifying glasses), flowers and fruit to pick, a garden area, and real grass everywhere. We came with high curriculum expectations from overseas that were met and exceeded, but we came to appreciate most how deeply the staff is dedicated to helping the children grow emotionally and socially alongside literacy/numeracy bookwork. The Director was snagged from another successful school only last May; she has a rare aptitude for supporting the children and hiring the best high-quality and long-term teachers. Other families have followed her here to Glendowie from different parts of Auckland.
