Extremely Unprofessional Experience I and my daughter ordered dresses from Akarshan and were promised overnight delivery because we urgently needed the outfits. The shop confidently assured us they would arrive the next day. However, the parcel did not arrive. From Wednesday to Friday, the shop did not answer a single call. On Saturday, they finally sent a tracking number. On Monday, after we contacted NZ Post ourselves, we were told that the parcel had been delayed due to multiple different addresses written on the box, causing confusion. We had to provide NZ Post with the correct address directly. We again tried contacting the shop, and they kept refusing to talk to us until we insisted and were eventually given the owner’s number. When we explained that the delay was due to their packaging and addressing mistake, the owner did not accept responsibility, offered no apology, and showed zero accountability. His only response was, “Return the parcel if you don’t want it.” When the parcel finally arrived, it was shockingly packed in a jackfruit box, again with multiple addresses scribbled across it. For dresses worth $500, this level of carelessness and unprofessionalism is unacceptable. The owner’s attitude throughout this entire process was rude, dismissive, and completely unprofessional. He refused to arrange a pickup, did not offer any compensation or discount, and would not acknowledge the obvious mistakes made by his store. I absolutely do not recommend this store. There are many other Indian shops in Auckland that provide far better service, respect, and professionalism.
I recently purchased an Indian suit from this store and had an amazing customer service experience. From the moment I walked in, the staff were welcoming, patient, and genuinely helpful. They took the time to understand what I was looking for, showed me different styles and colours, and gave honest advice about what suited me best.
Had a wonderful experience with all the staff, from welcoming into the store to finding exactly what I needed. They were Very friendly, respectful and responsive to my wants. Really appreciated their help in wrapping my saree and showing my cousin how to do it. They go above and beyond for your satisfaction. Once again thank you so much for your service. Never shopping here again. Ruined my outfit, when promised alterations are provided within the price. Absolutely pathetic. False promises were made by staff but not met. When picking up my outfit after I made several phone calls regrading if my outfit was ready or not. When I went to pick up my outfit which wasn't ready even when they told me that was my pickup date. When I saw my lehanga it was totally messed up and looked unfixable. When I called the boss, he knew himself that my lehanga was all ruined. I was offered a refund and it seems like it's a reoccurring thing in this store. Never shopping here again. Don't get your outfits tailored here.
Worst customer service ever. As a customer this service was very poor, and extremely disappointing. As I bought a lehanga 3 weeks ago and alterations were promised within the price. The tailor firstly lost my measurements and made me come back to take measurements again. After 3 weeks as it was promised that my outfit would be ready, I still got no phone call and had to contact them myself. Then when arriving to the store my outfit wasn’t ready despite being told it was done. When calling them multiple times staff would lie that the tailor is not in today. After the tailor ruined my lehanga that I already paid for, which completely wasted my time. I was granted an immediate refund as you could clearly see she ruined my lehanga. When recommending alterations to customers, you should first of all be confident in the quality of the service. If not then you shouldn’t recommend to customers. Don’t provide false expectations to customers if you can’t provide them.
WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE I went to buy clothes for Eid a few days ago, and was convinced to buy two pairs because they offered to provide size alterations and latkans free of charge. Paid for everything, came back to pick up the clothes today, and nothing had been done. The sales assistant kept pushing that there was no need for latkan even after promising to put them on. Boss came in, so I told him what had happened and he got visibly upset, offered no remedies but told me to get a refund. I paid in cash but they refused to give me cash back, so they refunded by eftpos. Happy that I can have my money back because I will never support a business that doesn't deliver on their promises after taking payment. Went to Roop Darshan instead, better service, better quality and better price. EDIT: There was no threatening or violence - at least you are consistent at lying. Check your own reviews and see who sounds more credible.
I went to buy a choker or necklace with my sister this other day and asked if we could see some, on it she did show some necklaces, and then we asked her if they have only a choker on its own not a whole set, she goes “ I showed you all of them now you don’t like it what can I do and she made this face with like being done with us but we took only 2 mins of her it wasn’t even busy at all only 3 of us was in the store, if we don’t see anything properly how we supposed to buy, ended up getting it from different store. We got served by this old lady.
