   Action taken with the NZ Law Society ARNET LAW – GAVIN ARNET – MIRIAM ARNET Also organizing a group of overcharged and extremely dissatisfied people Many many people over the years have been over charged, hounded, and intimidated. Just look at the reviews here. Threatened and had endless debt collector harassment. I myself have been abused in attempt to obtain un justifiable monetary reward thru & with legal process and mechanism. Please read other Google reviews here and also Arnet Law Waiheke Island. Hauraki Gulf Law is now Arnet Law. Avoid like the plague Do not even talk to these people. • They might invoice you, with extreme overcharging. • Then drag you through the Disputes Tribunal process. • Withdrew their application once they are going to lose. • Next summons you to Distract Court (during COVID) • Then, place a “CHANGE ORDER” on any property you might own • Then, possibly try to bankrupt you. Thereby. Forcing a sale Taking the property. When they did a maximum of 3 hours actual work This is my honest experience and their track record, their modus operandi. And the law society process has been engaged They are unable to follow instructions, they did the absolute opposite asked. Drag the process out. And charge x10 the hours they might have spent Incompetent is an understatement. An x100 hindrance to any legal issue you might have. Worst Law firm I have ever used. A 6 year fight with these guys. And continuing When I was able sorted my case out myself in 20 minutes at the family court. Less than Pathetic This is on going, Will be back in court. These people are aggressive and impossble to deal with. I repeat - Avoid like the plague

   This is the first review I have ever written. I think it is an important one. We had employed Arnetlaw to do a conveyancy for a property sale. Half way through we received an estimate of $3500. We were shocked. My friend who had sold 3 properties by now told us she is paying a fixed price between $1000 and $1500. Her recent one on the Island was $1200. I recommend to find a lawyer to do a fixed rate with your conveyance. When I questioned my lawyer for the discrepancy I received the following answer: Our estimate fees are correct. We do not offer fixed fees unfortunately. However, their firm may have offered a fixed price. We are a full-service law firm where qualified staff are doing the work on your deal. We recommend clients do their due diligence on lawyers, and a starting place for that is to put the lawyers name into the law society website. We suggest you look up their solicitor’s name. At Arnet Law we take our trust accounting obligations seriously. There was absolutely nothing extra in our contract, a straight forward sale and the fees not appropriate. There were also a couple of things we were not satisfied with which could have got us into trouble. Not going there for our other lawyer requirement. The 2 stars are because the service was prompt.

   Do not go near these people! Do not call these people. I spoke with one of their junior members for 10 minutes to see if I wanted to meet with her. I sat with her for 30 minutes (her rate is $220 per hour) .... I did NOT engage them! They charged me for over an hour of their time, but the bill came to double that because they added lots of fees (emailing, file storage) I absolutely did not engage or instruct these people but they charged me as if I had and then some. These are very bad & incompetent people.
