My daughter started ballet at SDPA when she was 4 years old, and now she is 7. Over the past few years, she has learned so many skills, and I’ve seen her improve each year. Her teacher, Sarah, is truly passionate and dedicated. She knows how to balance discipline and fun, always bringing out the best in her students. As the lessons became more challenging with exams, Sarah continued to teach with care and love, never forgetting to remind the students to enjoy dancing. This way, they are able to improve their skills while having fun. When my daughter first joined, she was very shy, so we chose SDPA because one of her best friends was already attending. Even though it is a 30-minute drive each way, we felt it was the best environment for her to gain confidence. Initially, we thought we might switch to a closer school later, but now she loves Sarah so much that she is eager to work hard and make her proud. I’m sure my daughter wouldn’t love ballet as much as she does now without Sarah. My daughter is even starting jazz this year and is really excited! SDPA also hosts fun events like movie nights, discos, and holiday programs, which help kids connect and build teamwork. As a parent, I love their annual end-of-year show, with its unique themes and amazing performances. If you are looking for a place where your child can grow, learn, and have fun, SDPA is the perfect choice. The passionate teachers, variety of dance classes, and welcoming environment make it a truly special place. Highly recommend!

A great dance school in St Heliers! My 4 year old daughter does the preschool dance classes. The teacher Sarah is amazing with little ones. The classes have introduced my daughter to dance in a gentle and relaxed way, at the same time as teaching her the first fundamentals of dance and helping to boost her confidence with the adorable preschool show they put on.

My daughter absolutely loves attending this dance school! She’s thriving in ballet, jazz, and hip hop, and it’s amazing to see how much she’s grown in confidence and skill. The school fosters an all-inclusive and supportive environment, with a wonderful dance community that feels like family. The instructors are passionate, encouraging, and truly care about each dancer. Highly recommend this school to anyone looking for a nurturing and professional place for their child to learn and enjoy dance! Lisa & Rick

Amazing dance class! My child has gained so much confidence since joining 2 years ago. Teacher Sarah is incredibleβ€”she not only teaches dance beautifully but also encourages my child to improve her skills. Now, my daughter has developed a love for ballet, and it has become her favorite activity outside of class. Highly recommended!

My daughter has gained so much enjoyment and self confidence dancing Hip Hop and Contemporary at SDPA with her experienced dance teachers. Her highlights are performing on stage, making new friends and having fun at her weekly dance classes.
