One of the naciest guy I ever dealt with. Honest professional and went the extra mile to help me out with my troubled car. Wife at reception was super friendly too.....a rare experience in today's society.
Took my car to Steve Denton Motors for a WOF. Was failed due to 4 faulty shock absorbers and a nail in my rear tyre. Failing 4 shocks which were supposed leaking to me was unusual as I noticed nothing driving the car so I took my vehicle to business in East Tamaki that do a lot of shock absorbers installations for a second opinion. Mechanic did a thorough check driving and braking the vehicle and getting underneath and inspecting shocks. His conclusion no issues to fail a warrant. I then took car to a Tyre Business in Otahuhu I know well to get nail removed where the manager told me that the tyre with the nail in it was stuffed and would never get a warrant. He showed me the tyre which was wearing from the inside due to bad tyre alignment, so I got two new ones . I then took my vehicle to a testing station where I passed the inspection and got a WOF no problem at all. The above story of my WOF journey is truthful with no exaggerations. I will not go to Steve Denton Motors again. The episode caused me a lot of stress and rather than becoming angry it has just left me more disillusioned and cynical than ever. I Won’t ever use a mechanic to get a WOF m the future, will go to a testing station that is neutral.
Steve, Debbie and the team are brilliant! We always have a great experience when taking our cars to them. Reasonably priced, quality work all with a friendly efficient service. Our family recently moved across town but we still go over to them. Recently after a little bump in my car I took it for works and a WOF and between them and Accident and Repairs LTD they got it all done without us having to drive back over and switch between businesses. Above and beyond, thank you guys ❤️
I went around to about 5 different places to get a quote for some work needing to be done on my car. Everyone gave me some ballpark figures but Steve was the only person who actually came out in person to see the car and took down notes of exactly what was needed. Debbie called me within like 30 minutes with an exact quote. Needless to say that's where I took my car for the job. Great communication and service.
