   The first time, they delayed my delivery by two extra days and even damaged my car. I ended up paying for the repairs myself because they wouldn’t take responsibility or come to the point. I decided to give them another chance, but the second experience was even worse. They delayed the delivery by three days and then rescheduled again after promising a set delivery date. When I called to ask about it, the person ( Delivery line) I spoke to was extremely rude, raised his voice, and acted very unprofessionally.

   I shipped my car from Invercargill to Auckland through Carr & Haslam in January. The delivery took about half a month, which I understand given the Christmas and New Year holidays. When I received the car, I was busy moving and didn’t inspect it thoroughly. About a week later, I discovered numerous scratches on the rear of the boot and a crack in the right taillight cover. I emailed Carr & Haslam immediately, hoping someone would address the issue. No one contacted me. I have since called and emailed several times to follow up, but still no reply. It has now been five months with no response. I simply want an update—will Carr & Haslam take responsibility for the damage? How can there be no response in five months? If you are planning to ship your car and expect timely follow-up, I suggest choosing another company. Carr & Haslam would not be my first choice.

   I have just read other complaints about illegal parking of the Carr & Haslam Ltd trucks. We have the same problem on Hillside Road, Glenfield where the trucks park along yellow lines and within a meter of our driveway making it very dangerous for cars trying to get out from our work place. The driver appeared to be having his lunch with no concern that his truck was blocking the view of departing cars.
