The Worst Birthing Hospital Experience of My Friend’s Life – Do Better. If negative stars were an option, this place would earn them all. Imagine being in excruciating pain, contractions hitting hard, anxious about your baby—only to have a nurse take one look at you and say, “You’re too pretty to be in labor.” Yes, you read that correctly. Apparently, unless you’re screaming and writhing on the floor, your pain isn’t real. This so-called medical professional refused to check my friend, wouldn’t assess her baby, and confidently declared, “From the look of you, baby will only be born in two weeks.” Spoiler alert: Her baby was born THREE HOURS LATER. Thankfully, she trusted her instincts and called her midwife, who met her at Botany Eastcare Hospital. There, she was treated with the care and urgency every laboring mother deserves. She was assessed immediately, confirmed to be in early labor, and just three hours later, she gave birth. If she had listened to that nurse’s careless dismissal, the outcome could have been far worse. To that nurse: You had one job—to care for your patients. Instead, you ignored her, dismissed her pain, and put her baby at risk. You have no business being in healthcare. Do better—or better yet, find another profession. To anyone considering giving birth here: RUN.

Why do they make you feel bad about being worried for your own BABY & SELF. Honestly , called in to ask a few simple questions being a worried second time mum i wanted to make sure. hospital midwife continued arguing back about what she thought was best and i understand but why the need to make someone feel bad about being curious , they really try shrug off alot. put aside whats “not important” “not urgent” but if it was then what ?

I had bad experience post c-section there. Everything was good in OT and recovery but as soon they transferred me to maternity ward , i was in shared room , not much privacy . Nurses were bit rude specially my first night and second day when i can't even move or do anything by self and needs more care. As per night Nurse i should leave my child crying if not settling after feed and not to ring bell . For god sake she is just one day old . We were so disappointed the way Nurses treated me .

I was utterly disappointed with middlemore treating pregnant women post delivery, I had a really bad and scary experience, the midwives or nurses who took care after my c_section were really harsh n rude, they dint really help me latch my bub well, I see that they really had racism, they moved me to share room in middle of night even thou my health condition was not really great bcoz one of the nurse has given me salt water early in morning after my operation to raise my blood pressure, despite knowing that I haven't had food from 1 day before for my surgery and n this would affect my health, I was continously throwing up after having food on first day after my surgery,

Me and my wife had the best birthing experience at Middlemore birthing unit. Thanks to all lovely midwives who were monitoring my wife 24-hour round. The birthing suite was awesome. All midwives were lovely and friendly. The aftercare was great. I would like to thank all the maternity and birthing staff for the amazing care.
