Been with this clinic for over 15+ years. (Since I was a teenager) Unfortunately I've reached my breaking point with this clinic every time we visit we're either turned away, told our doctors do not have appointments or if by miracle they have a walk In app available we've been stuck waiting for a minimum of 2 hours. Today's visit has been a 4 hour wait and simply just not good enough anymore. Edit to add - posted this review and hour ago. And am still waiting to see the doctor.... been here since just after 11am and it now going to 4pm...

Left this clinic years ago as the wait times were exceptionally long (once waited 4 hours to be seen) and the options to book a face to face appointment were scarce. At that time there was only one GP you could book an in-person appointment with, however, they only worked certain days. All other doctors operated as walk-in only. It’s challenging building patient-doctor relationships because of this. However, the nurses were lovely.

I went in there this morning to see the doctor, unfortunately I was not able to be seen by doctor walk in. But thankfully with the help of receptionist Janki I got an appointment booked for tomorrow. Janki was very generous and polite to talk with. She was very helpful to get my and my baby's registration and rest paper works done. The big minus point was that there was just 1 doctor available to be seen till late afternoon today who was fully booked. But overall it was good experience at reception coz usually receptionist are not very nice to most of the clinics in this country.

If i could give zero I would. Have been with this clinic for close to 15years. We are very familiar with long waiting times, being turned away when they are at capacity. We have always accepted this as this is how it gets at most medical centers. We were patients of DR Sandin so for the most part could make appointments with him or we would turn up before opening hours to be first in que for walk-ins. However now that DR Sandin and DR Tarack have gone this clinic has gotten worse. Last week went into the clinic during their clinic times, no one in the waiting room but we got turned away with a sick child. My email complaints were ignored until I brought up Health & Disability Code of Rights. The doctor was "doing paperwork" is the official excuse for not seeing a sick child. Sad state of affairs when the person who spent years training to care for the sick doesn't see the sick so they can do paperwork.

Don’t enrol in this clinic. They stop taking patients when they feel like it. Never follow their own time schedule

I’ve been a Local Dr patient since I was 16 (23 long years) and majority of my encounters have been great. However, this branch is by far the worst I’ve dealt with!! To start off with, this clinic NEVER answer the phone! I’ve called ahead multiple times in the past year and not once has anyone ever picked up the phone! Had they of picked up their phone, it would’ve saved me so much inconvenience and/or multiple trips to and from the clinic with my young children. When asked about this in clinic, they deny this yet my call logs don’t lie and white cross downstairs have confirmed they can see staff through security footage at reception. There has been times where I’ve been put thru to the call centre and have been given one set of information just to get in to clinic and be told something else (and I’ve only had this issue with this clinic in particular) On a few occasions I’ve gone into this clinic for a walk-in appt and they’re not operating. The clinic is open but they have a sign on the counter stating there is only 1 dr on and he is only seeing his patients. What really annoys me about this is, there is nothing mentioned on their website about closure (which should be) and it states they’re open normal hours, they don’t have these notices at the entrance downstairs or at the back door and lastly, they don’t answer their phones so it’s almost impossible to clarify this until we get upstairs. I’m highly considering changing drs but I love the flexibility of walk-in appts as we’re a family that hardly ever get sick or need to see drs. Mehhh, sort it out! I’ll be dropping my feedback form into clinic tomorrow too!

Took my daughter to the docs at east tamaki health care in otahuhu and the receptionist tells me to wait and see if she could be seen as she's a casual.. I sat and waited, I had seen 2 of the receptionist discuss amongst themselves on what to say to me.. me thinking because there's no people, literally empty that they would allow my daughter to be seen.. one of the receptionist reckons im sorry but she's a casual so the doctors couldn't see her! I asked why and she says because it's only for their patients only! I asked what time do they close and she says 5pm (it was 3pm) when we got there! I told her my daughter needed to see the doctor today and she goes yeah she can go downstairs and wait at white cross docs! Mind you white cross was so busy if i had went i would have waited for atleast 4hours, when my daughter could just clearly be seen here at East tamaki health care where its empty. I said why do we need to go down stairs and wait when you are literally empty ??? You have no patients waiting in line here.. she reckons you have to be a patient of ours I'm so sorry!! I then said well could I sign up my daughter now because she needs to he seen.... She replies yes now we can see her ! She could have told me from the start that all I needed to do was to sign up! But she chose to make things extra hard for me..Absolute unprofessional pure laziness..something that could have easily been solved she chose to make my life so much harder. I'm glad my daughter got to see the doctor but as for the receptionist..... you need to check yourself matey.

I had signed up and paid a large amount of $$ to register with this gp practice just before the first covid19 lockdown, when I needed medical care they did not answer the phone, they did not answer the emails I was sending, weeks went by still with no response, out of desperation I drove over there only to find they had closed for lockdown and placed 2 security guards outside to ensure there is no entry to their carpark, these two men explained to me they havent been open for some time but also found it strange they could go out of their way to arrange this but not be bothered to leave a message on their answerphone or return email to advise they were closed... apparently a bunch of patients had shown up through this time as they too couldn't get a hold of anyone. Very strange and unprofessional, 2 years later and I still haven't had a response to my emails or voicemails.

My friend was suffering and was in immense pain in the abdomen and she booked for an appointment, but they made her wait 2 hours after her time. This is unacceptable and the staff is unprofessional. The doctor who's seen her later did "nothing" and just told her that her pain is nothing to worry about cause they couldn't find anything wrong with her, people don't just have pain for no reason. She shouldn't be charged for her appointment considering the doctor did absolutely "nothing". If I could give this so called "Healthcare" a zero for the rating I would! This place needs to be re-accessed and closed down. Much improvement needed for this place. Dont go here you will regret it.
