I am so disappointed with the Otahuhu Healthcare team. I don’t want to even give 1 star at all. Staff are unprofessional. We went there on Friday and asked about a walk-in, they said no. Then we asked about appointments, and they said fully booked and didn’t explain clearly. We kept asking, and they said we could do a walk-in on Saturday. I called on Friday again, and they gave the same answer—fully booked until Tuesday, but they said they could accept walk-ins on Saturday without mentioning any specifics. We arrived around 9:25 am today, and the staff asked about appointments. We said no, you said walk-ins are available, but she said only for those who arrive by 9 am We said they didn’t mention anything, they just told us to come on Saturday for a walk-in. She responded dismissively, saying if not, she doesn’t know. I am so disappointed and so sick. She was extremely rude, laughed, and just said, 'I don’t know.' All customer service staff were unprofessional and very rude.

I'm really impressed with the service which I have got during my visit. Dr Asoka Dias took the time to listen to my concerns and offered clear and helpful advice. Highly recommend this practice for anyone looking for quality care.

I came in with my child and was given miro-amoxcilian 2 tablets once a day for my 10 year old child. I never been asked to give my child that kind of dose and I thought this was high and I had to follow up with phone calls as to the results of the throat swab. Turned out it was negative so I stopped giving the antibiotics after two days and as per the doctors advice and gave her panadol. I couldn't even get a new appointment when I needed one as she became sick as the panadol was doing nothing. Took her to the hospital and turns out she had pneumonia. The doctor did say if she gets worse to go to the hospital but it's very worrying as a parent that the otahuhu health center has doctors that sound like robots just repeating the same thing to each patient. I would recommend that they choose there words wisely as it can be taken as just give your child panadol and she will be okay she has a viral infection is what I was told and she will get over it in a week I understand why kids gets very sick when a parent is given panadol as treatment. Then the parent waits for them to get better but they actually getting worse and we are unsure are they sick enough to go to the hospital. I had a stressful night wandering is my child sick enough to go to the hospital at 3am in the morning. I spent 8 hours waiting for some decent treatment in the hospital and i felt it was way better than the hour i spent sitting at the otahuhu health center waiting for my 5 minute doctors appointment. I'm changing doctors and I don't recommend this doctor if you want decent reliable professional Healthcare look else where and If I could give no stars I would that's my prefered rating for this doctors medical treatment how he became a doctor i do not know.

I had an appointment booked at the health centre for my baby's immunisation at 11:30 AM. It's now 12:40 PM and we're still waiting. This kind of delay is extremely disappointing, especially when dealing with babies who can get restless and uncomfortable. I understand things can get busy, but there should be better time management and communication. We expect better care and consideration when it comes to children's health. Very unhappy with today’s experience.

I had a deeply disappointing and emotionally upsetting experience during my appointment. My scheduled time was 1:45 PM, but I was only seen at 2:25 PM—after a long and anxious wait. When I was finally called in, I was barely given 7 minutes. Only one of my concerns was addressed, and when I gently tried to raise the others, I was abruptly told that there were other patients waiting. This felt incredibly dismissive and hurtful. As a patient, especially when you're already going through difficult personal and health-related challenges, you expect compassion and time—not to be rushed out as if your concerns don't matter. The whole experience made me feel like I was just a number on a list, not a human being in need of care. Health professionals are meant to provide not just medical support but emotional understanding too. What I experienced showed a complete lack of empathy and humanity. I left the clinic feeling more distressed than when I walked in. No one should be made to feel this way when seeking help.

I came with my brother to get him some medicine to his sore throat and the doctor gave him some sort a bloody nose unblocking medication rather than giving treatment for the sore throat when I asked from the bloody nurse she was raising her voice to us rather apologising very disappointing!

Use to be good but now it's useless!!Alot of good staff gone!!

Absolutely worst experience my partner and I have had with any doctors. We have been trying to see a doctor for 3-4 days and receive different information about appointments and walk ins from a specific receptionist every time. She is unhelpful, rude and inconsiderate of people and their problems. For a job that is centered around communication with the public and providing correct information, she is appalling. Communicating information is not that hard of a job and yet it is something that is incredibly lacking. Only redeeming quality is the nice and kind P.I receptionist. I wish I knew her name but she has been very helpful. I don’t recommend this place. I would rather travel an extra 20-30 mins, pay extra and get decent service then try to book at these doctors again.

Apart from the receptionists, Mata the nurse and the doctors I have seen which are great people to deal with. There is this one fijian indian nurse who is on right now the date 23 January 2023.. time 20:35 who is the most rudist, very unprofessional, impolite, arrogant, bad mannered, abrupt oh I could go on. I do hope that this review gets seen so no one else needs to be interrogated over the phone and spoken to this way. She needs to be disciplined by management promptly. By the way this is the second time I have been spoken to by her. Absolutely shocking and disgustingly disgraceful of somewhat professionalism.
