My experience with Phillip Unsill was excellent. He explained all options going forward was practical and sympathetic would have no hesitation in recommending him. He will definitely be my go to in thee future for spinal issues.
They are quite responsive if you get in touch by email. Detailed and informative replies are always provided. However I don’t like the way one of the assistant persons educating people. Patients asking questions because they genuinely want to know more/ understand the procedure etc especially if it’s regarding the surgical plan. In fact, no one wants to be at that position.
Do not call these people if you need any help or advice. The receptionist will tell you that she has a clinic to run and is too busy to help you - very disappointing as Mr Insoll came very highly recommended
Mr Insull performed surgery on my lower back to repair an old fracture and resulting damage in other areas. Due to a complex health situation, I have met many doctors in my time and most of them have been great but Phillip is absolutely exceptional. He is incredibly kind, thoughtful and explains things in such a way that a layperson can easily understand. He genuinely cares and is incredibly humble. I would also like to thank his PA, Janice, who is a whiz at organising everything, particularly during these challenging Covid times. She is always on the case and takes care of things so quickly with friendliness and patience. I have only just had my surgery but I can tell a difference and I have every expectation that things will get better. My gratitude for this is endless and I would not hesitate to have Phillip operate on me again. At some point, my husband and I will be relocating down South but I would gladly fly to Auckland and have Phillip operate on me again should the need arise.
