Was an amazing experience! Nurse Janine was extremely kind and helped me with all my needs! This is a very professional heath centre and I highly recommend seeing someone here.

I transferred my medical care to Takapuna Health a few months ago. I booked a hormone consultation with Dr Antje. She was very thorough and really listened to what I had to say. She’s extremely knowledgeable and had me feeling so much better within just a few days. I’m now enrolled with Dr Rob for my GP consults. I find the whole practice a breath of fresh air after my previous experiences. All the staff are very responsive, courteous and caring.
I had the best experiences with Dr Antje and Dr Rob, both of whom I highly recommend. The reason for my 3 stars is because I have been medically gaslit by one other doctor from the clinic in the past (twice!!), which was not the best experience. So overall, Takapuna Health receives a 3 stars!
Two reviews 1) we are on holiday and my daughter had been so excited to try scuba diving , unfortunately in Fiji they leave things to the last min and didn’t tell us we needed a doctor to sign that her medication was ok to scuba dive. We emailed and rang begging if they could sign the form so she could do it. The lady I spoke to wasn’t very nice she did say they were under staffed and we said we would pay, could we get any doctor to sign it but they didn’t have much empathy at all and even though there was a window of 5 hours they never signed the form so my daughter had to miss out. She was excited for weeks about this and google said medication was fine it was just bummer that we couldn’t have had some kindness in this situation. Totally get they are busy but this was a rare case. 2): I saw Dr Rob as my doctor Anita was on holiday. He was Determined to tell me I had carpal tunnel when I had none of the reasons that he was talking about even after his test failed he would only focus on carpel tunnel and not listen to me when I was actually worried about my muscle weakness that affected my whole body. There was no asking about other symptoms, no asking me any questions he was just determined that was the cause and there was no looking anything else. I felt very rushed and instead of actually looking at different possibilities there was only one answer. We started talking about the blood tests I wanted and then got talking about the carpel tunnel I didn’t get to as to include more tests, by the time we finished he said the blood was sent which was super efficient but I wasn’t finished. Was a very short time in there and it cost me $70!!!! I also drove an hour to get there.
Dr Antje was such an incredible help and support to our Family. After three previously GP’s, for our very unwell wee boy, we were grateful someone recommended her to us. Dr Antje is very thorough, knowledgeable, caring, punctual, open-minded and willing to help in whatever way she can. She always thoroughly read our notes, something i had never experienced with a GP and picked up on issues that other GPs missed in previously tests etc. Our needs were complex but we were cared for respectfully and I felt listened too. She connected with us after hours and her approach reminded me of GPs of old that knew their patients well and were part of the Family in a sense. We really miss her in the South Island! I recommend her highly to anyone wanting a good Dr that is gifted in her work as a GP and truly cares for her patients!!
Completely baffled by how rude and inappropriate Dr Sue Loughlin was. Complete disregard for my choices for myself and my child. Will never be back. Unprofessional and condescending.
Thursday: Doctor forgot to put antibiotics on my prescription (literally the only reason I went to the doctors too). I called them up and they said they would sort it out. I didn't hear anything back from them. Friday:I called them up first thing in the morning and spoke to the nurse. She assured me she would send it through to the pharmacy. I go to the pharmacy after work for the second time and they have still not received any prescription. I now need to wait until Monday to call them up AGAIN and drive back to the pharmacy. Incredibly disorganised and frustrating when I'm a student and petrol is very expensive. Fyi this isnt even the first time this has happened.
Dr Antje Bongartz is by far the most caring and amazing doctor I have ever had. She is very thorough and understanding and listens. Jess her nurse is amazing in following up anything for me and being kind and supportive. Thanks :-)
Dr. Antje is the best GP I ever have had in Auckland. She is so knowledgeable and caring. I have felt much better than before since I began to follow her instruction. The nurses are so friendly too.
