Dodgey scammers both Ricky Chand and Imroz, I had a bad feeling about these guys from the start but they were my most local mechanic. Took two cars here that have both had their WOFS now revoked after a letter from NZTA saying they’ve lost their WOF license. I hope they’re never allowed to do business again!

Do yourself a favour and choose another mechanic. I was ripped off for triple the correct amount and Waka Kotahi have cancelled my WOF as Newmarket Auto repairs were issuing warrants illegally for just under a year. .(see attached image)

I just thought to add my horrible experience here which happened 6 years ago (approx.) Owner looks like smart enough to rob people easily where jobs doesn't need to change the rotors (front) but, only brake pads, but changed the whole lot n charged more than $700/- for hiace which resulted brake pads worn off within 3 weeks .

These muppets will issue you a wof. It's really nice of them to give me this piece of paper but doesn't have any significance

Ricky was extremely helpful when I rang to book a WOF. I was very impressed with the service I recieved with this company. They picked up my car from my work and delivered it back to me in a very timely manner. All paper work was managed very efficiently and clearly. Thoroughly reccommend.

AVOID! I went here on a Saturday for a WOF and they failed me on multiple criteria - worn strut mount, worn break pads, weak hand break. I started feeling quite alarmed and surprised since my car had always easily passed WOF tests. The guy recommended that I come back the Monday to have the repairs done. I told him that I couldn't because of work and he told me he would call me later that day with a quote for the repairs. He never called me back and reading the negative reviews I started to think maybe these guys were not very trustworthy. Booked another WOF with someone else in Onehunga and my car easily passed with just a small light bulb at the back plate needing a replacement. None of the things I was originally failed for were a problem. Either these guys have incredibly high standards for a WOF to pass or they are trying to scam you, trying to get you to pay for repairs you don't need. Either way I would avoid them, they don't seem very trustworthy at all.

Recently took my car here for Service - Great Team and the front of house Ricky is great to deal with! They gave me a courtesy car for the day due to my busy work schedule. Car was ready to go when i got back to them, no delays or problems. Definitely going back here from now on for all my car needs! Thanks guys !!!

AVOID! Broke down and was towed here as closest and could see us same day. They couldn't commit to what was wrong, I kept returning as wasn't called with updates as I asked them to, each time the car wasn't being worked on. When they found the problem they were suspect about quoting, looking at each other and smirking, felt from the off that they weren't genuine or trustworthy guys. Once the work was finally done some 7.5 hours later they tell us actually you need a new engine! As we are from the UK and invested most of our money in our camper van this was devastating news. Leaving it over night we decided to get a second opinion the next day. No issues (except they had only put half the amount of oil it needed in it), driving fine, passed its WOF. So much for needing a new engine. Untrustworthy, really bad vibe about them and either awful mechanics or looking to screw people over, either way go else where! Only positive is they did the job cheap which was appreciated but regardless....over all a very bad experience!
