Even thoe the wait is long, you are seen by the great Nurses & Dr's. Really appreciated the Receptionist whom helped with my husband's registration as it went smoothly. The Dr who attended to us was also very supportive & helpful. This practice has a routine and are very responsive to all who walk in to see a Dr or Nurse.

Very long wait time. Had to come here because my doctor is always fully booked 1 to 2wks in advanced. But I’m glad to wait a few hours than wait a week or 2 to see my family doctor. Our health system needs support, they are struggling. Service was awesome it’s just the long waiting time.

Waiting times is ridiculous but I guess with how our health system is atm, long wait times is to be expected. I have made appointments in advance but still waiting long hours. Isn't appointment times prioritised. Gosh! DO NOT SEE DR RASHEEDA ALI. AVOID AT ALL COSTS!! If you see her name on the screen, say you'll see any other doctor except her. First and last time I will ever see her. She didn't give me the chance to talk. She did not ask any important questions. When I requested a med cert for 3 days, she only gave me 1 day, like wth! How is an eye infection supposed to go away in 1 day. She didn't do a thorough check at all. She prescribed me eye drops and ointment which I read on the instruction leaflet inside were not suitable for my eyes and not suitable if I'm already using other eye drops (which I am). I have an eye condition on my right eye (the infected eye I was seeing her about) and not once did she bring this up or even ask me about it. This is appauling. Her negligence will cost someone's life one day. She is not caring at all. Just there to rush people and not listen to them. Now I have to come back to the clinic for another long wait to see another doctor as what she prescribed doesn't seem to be working. THIS IS UNACCEPTABLE!!!!!!!

I’m deeply disappointed with the service my mother received today at the Māngere Town Centre East Tāmaki Healthcare clinic. She arrived around midday, seeking urgent medical attention due to severe chest pain, and ended up sitting in the waiting area for nearly five hours without ever being seen by a doctor. After waiting for two hours, she was finally seen by a nurse. When she later approached the reception to ask for an estimated wait time — given the increasing pain she was in — she was told she would be seen after three more patients. However, two more hours passed, and when she followed up again, she was then told she would now be seen after five more patients. This kind of inconsistent and prolonged delay is not only frustrating — it’s unacceptable, especially for someone experiencing serious symptoms. The staff cited ongoing appointments and emergency patients as the reason for the delay, which we understand. But it’s equally important to consider the condition and discomfort of walk-in patients who are visibly unwell and in pain. After nearly five hours with no clear indication of when she would be seen, and with her pain becoming unbearable, my mother had no choice but to leave and return home — untreated. We have since requested a refund for the consultation fee charged upfront, as she received no care whatsoever. To make matters worse, she spoke with another patient who had reportedly been waiting for seven hours. This is not an isolated experience. It reflects a serious issue in the clinic’s patient management system. While some delay is understandable, especially during busy periods, leaving people in pain for hours with vague updates and no action is simply not acceptable. Something needs to change. Patients deserve better. I would not recommend this clinic to anyone based on our experience today.

A BIG TIP FROM A LOCAL REGULAR USER & ALWAYS WORKS LAST 20 YEARS: LONG WAITS ARE NZ DOCTOR SHORTAGE. SO TO BE SEEN BY THE DOCTOR FIRST, EARLY YOU MUST LINE UP OUTSIDE AT 7AM FOR THE DOORS TO OPEN AT 8AM. BRING YOUR OWN PLASTIC CHAIR & A LINE FORMS AT 7AM ONWARDS. THE FIRST 4 CUSTOMERS ARE NORMALLY SEEN WITHIN THE FIRST HOUR. DONT COME AFTER THIS TIME, WAIT FOR NEXT DAY 7AM TO LINE UP & SEE THE DOCTOR. ALL THE BEST FROM SEU SMITH FAMILY.

Honestly one of the worst doctors - i joined because they make it sound so convenient with the opening hours & online consults etc but wait times are absolutely ridiculous. Having an asthma attack k might just die before I get to see a doctor. Once waited over 3hrs for my toddler to be seen, she was starved at rhe end of it and exhausted. Call through and have to wait forever for someone to answer & they never give you all the efficient information. Signed up with managemyhealth and given the centre my email address to link to so I can order repeat prescriptions online - just for them to never do it. Useless af. Reception is also incredibly rude.

1 to No star. Simply because the triage system as they call it, for the sick to see a nurse/doctor in an orderly fashion, was very misleading, uninformative and just plain too open for loopholes for the receptionists or nurses to take advantage of and abuse the line in order if it is up to their discretion and assessments. Today 05/12/2022, we waited at the clinic from 9.30am until we saw the doctor at approx 4.45pm. The consultation with the doctor was very good considering it has been the longest day, Dr Mansoor was always thorough and always willing to get to the bottom of the concerns at hand. But the waiting and managing of the incoming patients was very poor, and can be done so much better. Transparency is key in communication and if the receptionists can offer that and be honest about it, it would still have been a long day that can be tolerated better.

Experience from Saturday 20th August. One star solely based on the doctors consult. He was the only doctor I’d ever seen where I left feeling worse than when I got there. I felt like he had no patience, he became very abrasive when I started asking questions and even after I had apologised for not understanding his diagnoses, his immediate reaction was to tell me to wait for another doctor and seek a second opinion. He made me feel stupid for bringing up my previous doctors visits about the same issue I was coming to him with, stating that he “doesn’t read other doctors notes” and that it “does not matter what it says as he is the one treating me now”. Even though he tried to prescribe me a medication which would not have helped, which he would have known about if he had read my medical history. At this point I felt like he was over the whole consult as he began to interrupt me whilst I was trying to speak and continued to stare at his computer as I tried to talk to him. He was dismissive, unhelpful and from his tone and actions, clearly didn’t like to be questioned or explain himself. I ended the consult and left feeling very small from the interaction. I basically paid $20 to be talked down too and am currently still sick. The reception ladies were lovely and the nurse was fine. Waited just over an hour to be seen which wasn’t that bad to me. I was given two different doctors names that were on that day but as I cannot confirm which one I saw, I did not want to post the names. But I still felt like sharing my experience. No bedside manner, 1 star, worst experience I’ve had there.

I have been to the doctors on a week day at 8:30am. Didn't look that busy but was told to wait in the car. Was seen by the nurse at 11am and seen by the doctor after 1pm. Lots of patients who had come before me had been seen which seemed ridiculous as they don't accept appointments so not really sure what the process is. I feel we get more sick going to this type of clinics and spending the whole day waiting. We going as patients and coming out impatient. Hope to see some improvement in the near future.
