In early November, I recommended to my daughter that she take her car in there for a WOF. They have done WOFs for me before and it hasn't been a problem. Disappointingly, they failed her on a couple of items (wipers, brake pads) and flagged up a few more items as 'marginal'. When I assessed it I felt that their claims were just plain wrong. I called and challenged them on this, and made an appointment. After making me wait 40 min, they reiterated their claims and we tested the wipers, and he even tried to tell me the windscreen had streaks and it needed replacing, when I could clearly see that there were no streaks, and visibility was absolutely fine. I was forced to jack the car myself, take the wheels off and photograph the pads with a caliper to show that they were around DOUBLE the minimum limit. I sent those in, and they accepted them, I made yet another appointment, where they made me wait AGAIN, and finally gave me the WOF. Most people would have given up and got the work done, or gone elsewhere and paid again to get a fairer assessment. I initially suspected it was it was because it was a young female who took the car in initially, but I now think that the inspector has just been pressured or bullied into being VERY conservative, and would rather waste people's money and avoid risk to himself, than try to achieve a balanced assessment that accurately reflects the rules. I will not return.

Terrible experience with this company im unsure how you can charge someone $655 just for labor and one hub which was 275 amd the rest on labor ? Wouldn't pass my warrant knowing yous have passed my tires over the past 3 years ive been to yous ! Asked another mechanic and hes said the same thing shouldn't be over $500 ! Ravi always passed my wof with no problems and if there was it was fixed then and there , now yous on the other hand are respectful but definitely over priced ! Definitely not coming back here

New customer. Recently took my vehicle in for a WOF. Failed for a number of issues. Fine. Went elsewhere to repair. Low and behold, a few of the issues you guys failed were incorrect! Such a shame. Won’t ever be back here and will advise my family to steer clear as well.

What an absolutely fantastic experience! I've taken my son's car in twice now, and both times the service has been exceptional. First, they performed a silver service, and then a drive belt replacement. The team is incredibly professional and knowledgeable, always explaining exactly what work needs to be done. The repairs are done in a timely fashion, and the prices are affordable. I highly recommend them!

We have been with Car Clinic now for several years after moving into the area. Great and affordable service for our cars. They are honest and if they don’t know the answer or can’t do it, they will let you know.

Very bad service, we had a lot of problems after we took our van from their garage. We have to paid 400$ just after in another garage because we had problems with coolant system and belt. They didn't took their responsabilities and they didn't do anything for us, not even a commercial gesture ! Go your way !

Apparently it’s difficult for this garage to assume his responsibilities Unbelievable We did a post purchase inspection for our van with them and 3 leaks and 3 belts should be fixed ($3000) 200 kilometers later, we had to stop because of temperature, lot of smoke, fortunately we stopped before the arrow went on the red area We were in Coromandel Peninsula in that moment and that’s why we couldn’t come back to Glen Innes to fix the problem In order to change the belts, the mechanics had to remove all of the cooling system and so there were the last persons to touch it. Moreover, the cambelt keep going on a strong noise and we had to tight it on our own fees in an other garage whereas he was supposed to fix it We had to pay 400$ to fix it the 24th of December, hopefully we found a garage wich want to take care We did a cylinder head gasket because of their incompetence Impossible to contact the garage because they were closed for holidays We were immobilized during 2 long weeks without driving and after they didn’t want to refund us our $400 invoice whereas all of the garage told us that troubles came from their manipulation Unbelievable once again They didn’t take responsibility of that whereas all of the proofs were against them $3000 to fix 2 first problems, 400$ to fix their incompetence and now we have to repair a head gasket That’s not necessary to tell you to avoid this garage

So happy with this place and definitely has been me and my families go to mechanics. Recently I had a huge problem with my car that I had brought and was quoted a large sum. During the work they called me back to say it could potentially be another problem (cheaper) but they weren’t sure it could go either way. Thankfully it all worked out and my cars fixed, but I am so thankful of their honesty and communication, which is rare to find in a mechanic. I’ve had horrible experiences in the past and this place is amazing! Thank you guys for your amazing work! I appreciate it so much!

Be vigilant when using these guys. I received a service from them. I was told I should replace my spark plugs, the problem is I had replaced all four of them myself only a week prior. I asked to have a look at the spark plug they took out and sure enough it was old and used, the only explanation is they replaced the new ones with old ones or they didn’t even bother to look and just grabbed an old set off the shelf. In addition to this, the service I received didn’t even come with paperwork indicating the “checks” they carried out. When I hopped into the car they had buckled the seatbelts as if to imply they had did a thorough job…I highly doubt that was the case. I can’t trust these people so I won’t coming back.
